that 2nd right handers was way slower than it walked for me. 1st run was an oops.

Love the course. Something about it just seems right. Like getting a good run is easy, but a great run requires a lot of nuance. I know that's any course, but I just can't put it in the right words.

How much HP/torque does it make as an STR?
@vivekisontrack9 ай бұрын
I have not dynoed mine, but generally speaking, it adds about 8-10 lb ft of torque in the midrange, and maybe 5 peak hp.

Setup issues? What caused it to be this tail happy besides the hot tires?
@vivekisontrack Жыл бұрын
Mostly it was opr that had caked onto the tires and I had not realized it. Cleaning it off cured the handling balance.

Thanks for sharing. Your analysis in the annotations is very interesting, especially when you say "the car was bound up and couldn't accelerate soon enough". Curious how do you know when you pressed the brake and when you didn't? Is that in the data or just visually looking at your video?
@vivekisontrack Жыл бұрын
I know when I used the brakes by looking at my feet, and simply remembering what I did during that run. I recall using the brakes and immediately calling myself a chicken in my head :)

🍻 ❤ 👌 This was awesome. I just did a TN event @ HHR yesterday, for the first time, and I wanted to see some videos of faster folks drive. Your corner entry speeds were (understandably, because #Miata) way higher than mine. 5-7mph higher everywhere. Having the speedo in your video was a big help. Thanks for posting this, and for listing the car's mods/setup for reference. ✌

First time I watched I had to check the playback speed and make sure I didn't speed it up. I worked the 2n'd session and kept noticing this insanely fast #52 Miata flying around the course, but didn't know who it was, lol. After watching this I see how Vivek beat me by more than 7 seconds - driving a beautifully prepared car with the intensity of a madman.

Hello Mr Goel, a quick question. Would you get an ND2 club with or without brembo/bbs/recaro for C-street?
@vivekisontrack Жыл бұрын
There is no measurable performance difference between the two, but I'd maybe chose to NOT have the brembo/bbs/recaro because there are more aftermarket wheels that fit over the normal brake calipers.

Nice, if I remember correctly, c-street setups are very limited in allowed modifications. Still, miatas are extremely potent even with the limitations so the plaid held up well. That immense power carries it quite a bit. I wonder what a fully modified plaid vs a fully modified miata race would look like.
