if you want a girl who's like the song describes you must first get a time machine and go back to any year prior to 1990 and the further you go back the better, just don't go back past the 1800s .

I know this comment will be met by many with abject horror and indignation, so let it rain. But, and he wouldn't really alter it, knowing you cannot add to perfection, but I have always wanted for my own reasons, a Good male cover of this masterpiece. I'm going for Harry Styles.

ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS OF THE ROCK HISTORY EVER. ACTUALLY VERY TRAGIC AND STRONG AT ONSE. THE TRUE POETRY OF THE DEPRESSIVE-SUICIDAL METAL (ALTOOGH ITS NOT OFFICIAL A DSBM). IT FORMED MY OPINION AND LIFE PHILOSOPHY, (ALONGSIDE WITH "DEAD CAN DANCE" "ANYWHERE OUT IF THIS WORLD") WHICH I CONFESS TILL NOW . THANK YOU GUYS. WHY DID'NT YOU SING THIS SONG DURIN THE "ROCK IM PARK" FESTIVAL IN NUREMBERG?!!!

I've always been struck by the venality and utter indifference being portrayed in these lyrics, as the song goes on to point the finger at decadent western capitalism, and how it exploits the less powerful people and cultures---all for only one basic reason: profit, profit, profit. Profit for the few over the many who are being exploited in that single objective. Henley refers to the despair of some of these other people with eloquence as well as partly veiled menace as well. This song is all the more important and relevant today, as it was in the 80's. And America has largely continued to slide further down the slope towards it's own oblivion, all the while mindlessly entertaining ourselves so we don't really have to confront what we have (collectively) done, to ourselves, our children, and to the country as a whole. But, humans don't do well with reality.

No Woman in Rock today can 0:48 compete with Chris.. she was a Beautiful, Smart and Talented Woman with the voice of an angel... She could sing anything whether it be a love song or rock and there aren't too many in the music business that can do that not even Stevie... This particular song proves it too Miss U Beautiful Songbird ❤

Harder To Breathe Vocal: Adam Levine Backing Vocal: Ryan Dusick How dare you say that my behavior is unacceptable So condescending unnecessarily critical I have the tendency of getting very physical So watch your step cause if I do You'll need a miracle You drain me dry and make me wonder why I'm even here This double vision I was seeing is finally clear You want to stay but you know very well I want you gone Not fit to fucking tread the ground I'm walking on When it gets cold outside and you got nobody to love You'll understand what I mean when I say There's no way we're gonna give up And like a little girl cries in the face of a monster That lives in her dreams Is there anyone out there? Cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe Is there anyone out there? Cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe What you are doing is screwing things up inside my head You should know better You never listened to a word I said Clutching your pillow And writhing in a naked sweat Hoping somebody someday will do you like I did When it gets cold outside and you got nobody to love You'll understand what I mean when I say There's no way we're gonna give up And like a little girl cries in the face of a monster That lives in her dreams Is there anyone out there? Cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe Is there anyone out there? Cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe Does it kill? Does it burn? Is it painful to learn That it's me that have all the control Does it thrill? Does it sting? When you feel what I bring And you wish that you had me to hold When it gets cold outside and you got nobody to love You'll understand what I mean when I say There's no way we're gonna give up And like a little girl cries in the face of a monster That lives in her dreams Is there anyone out there? Cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe Is there anyone out there? Cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe
