The deer was stupid for sure. How come it couldn'f notice a 15 meters tall walking metal going to step on it?
@jettsimmons8063Ай бұрын
Maybe it didn't see him as a threat, some animals if not around humans aren't scared at them and are not sure how to respond to something they aren't aware of. But the Deer was put there as symbolism to show how GOD-LIKE The Transformers are, and how destructive they can be.

Outstanding job, people that said that the movie was faithful to the comic after the first half hour haven't seen it or didn't understand anything about the Killing Joke. This scene in particular was totally butchered in the movie. Let's start with the fact that in the movie they "strangely" remove the part where Joker itemizes his crimes (therefore giving validity to that idiotic theory that he didn't just take some photos of Barbara when she was naked) and removed the iconic last shot therefore forgetting that the Killing Joke is a cyclic story (in fact the comic starts and ends with the same panel). But the biggest mistake is the way Joker narrates the story: he's supposed to be a mess in this last part of the comic cause his great plan failed proving that the one bad day theory wasn't founded and Batman is offering to help him but he can't accept for a reason that he's so afraid to talk about that he hids it in his last joke...but nope in the movie he is bold, he doesn't stutter and he frequently glances back to Batman when in the comic he doesn't even have the force to see him in the eyes and he does that ONLY when he reveals to Batman why he didn't accept his offer (through his joke). Sorry for the ramblings, keep up the great work buddy

Great job ! I don't want to be that guy, but I think you missed quite the important details of the scene. In the last few panels, you see that Batman keeps laughing while Joker abruptly stops. It's been the subject of interpretation if the Batman (having his hands stretched around Joker's neck previously), just killed the Joker at this moment. I'm not the one with the definitive answer, but I feel like having the Joker keep on laughing miss the point of the end
@bluegum64382 ай бұрын
I think the point of this scene is that Joker is asking Batman to euthanise him. He's giving him permission to end him. Batman is saying the only reason he hasn't killed Joker yet is out of compassion and because he believes everyone deserves a chance to redeem themselves, and the Joker is saying he doesn't think he deserves or is capable of that. He's saying, yes, you're right. You have to kill me. Don't beat yourself up about it.
@solivagen4352 ай бұрын
@@bluegum6438 I wish that's how it ended. But DC needs to sell more comics. 😒
@jettsimmons80632 ай бұрын
I like to think after Joker stops laughing, Batman killed Joker. Plus, I think Allen Moore attended for this scene to be ambiguous, so you can interoperate what Batman did to Joker. Did he kill him? or did he Not? It's the lack of a answer that makes the scene more impactful.
@pierrecourtois51672 ай бұрын
@@jettsimmons8063 I agree with you, I'm not claiming there's a definitive answer. But what makes it undecisive is the laugh of the Joker cutting off before Batman's, something that I don't hear in your video is all

Their were some theories that Joker is talking him and Batman. Batman is the first guy, taking the leap and used his resourcefulness as way to control his Madness, to use it for a way to benefit society. While Joker, The second guy, didn't take the leap, he is too scared to change, and thinks it's too late. So when Batman said he would shine the flashlight for for him, to help him, Joker doesn't believe he can jump across or better himself and that Batman would give up on him like everyone else had, and turn the light off before Joker could get to the other side.
@Bacxaber2 ай бұрын
Besides the joke being a metaphor for himself and Batman, the joke is that the flashlight bridge is an absurd suggestion to begin with yet the second guy rejects it for an equally absurd reason.
