They may look the same but the bristles are different in order to handle the respective mediums. Always use brushes rated for acrylic paint, this information can be found by reading the info on the handle or label.

Needs sealing! An automotive clear coat will do anything that offers UV protection. It looks like you live somewhere hot dry and sunny.
@AcrylicArtsAcademy11 күн бұрын
I can see how you would think that it was automotive sealant, but it wasn’t. It was Alene’s spray and it’s actually rated for indoor and outdoor use. It’s been years and this statue is still doing well. It has survived more than one devastating hurricane since the making of this video. This is the spray: amzn.to/3WgSlAv

Thanks for this channel! Painting is my first real hobby in my life. I'm not good at all, but I'm super eager to learn. I don't have a creative bone in my body, but I am trying my hardest. I had considered acetone, given my wife uses that to remove her nail polish. I think I'll be trying isopropyl. Thank you. Merry Christmas!

How do you keep the carben from smearing as you paint ? do you seal the lines with anything?
@AcrylicArtsAcademy3 ай бұрын
There’s not that much carbon powder left on the canvas afterward to do much smearing, no need to seal it. Simply paint on top. 👍
