A Barry Mann best kept secret. This one got a lot of plays and was well known, but the problem was few bought it.

In NO way is this "rockabilly" !. If anything it's an early "rock n roll" pop song. And not a very good one. Sorry for being pedantic, but this Brit is getting so bored with folk, especially Americans, branding ALL forms of 50s rock n roll as either "doowop" or "rockabilly", in fact "I've Had Enough" lol.

Is there any chance that you still have in your collection a song that goes “a shirt with no buttons, a show with no cast”? I think it was by happy fats/leroy Leblanc

Very beautiful, Roy sings very fine and the music is very fine. 🎵🎶 I have this song on Lp, but not with Roy Orbison. Flamingo kvintetten had done this song in 1976, also very nice.

THIS CATALINA RECORD was produced by THE CATALINAS AROUND 1962 by 4 band members LUKE MONDEN, DRUMMER, ROY UNDERWOOD and 2 others, this was the only record by them, I think ,The other Catalinas are a different band. The record was “CATALINA PUSH”& flip side was”BABY COME HOME”, which both songs were owned by them.

I've been looking for a song written by Gene Brooks back in the 60s (1963/64) that begins with "What month is it now, Oh! my darling Kim? Are you dressing in colors bright and gay?" . It's been 60 years and I would love to hear this song again!!!

Blue Train Johnny Cash Track 10 on The Legendary Johnny Cash Producers Sam Phillips & Jack Clement 1962 [Verse 1] There's an engine at the station and the whistle calls my name It's calling, calling, calling, come and get aboard the train My baby's gone and I'm alone to live in misery I'm going to call and make a reservation for me [Chorus] Going to ride a blue train, going to ride a blue train Going to ride a blue train, going to ride a blue train [Verse 2] I'm going to climb aboard and ride until I learn to smile I'll be knocking out the blues while I'm knocking out the miles With my guitar, beat and rhythm, to the click-clack of the wheels I'm going to sing the blues because that's the way that I feel [Chorus] [Verse 3] Conductor, go and tell the man to shovel on the coal It doesn't seem half as bad as long as I can roll Give me another ticket and I'll stay and ride with you There's nothing left to live for in this world, we're rolling through [Chorus]
