@@GayJayU26 This performance is from March 2021, so none of them was a teenager at this point (Thomas barely though 😉), but I get what you mean. Even as teenagers, they were always serious about music, determined to succeed and not by taking shortcuts or employing tricks, but applying themselves, learning and improving their skills constantly, never relying just on talent or good looks.

@ I know Damiano is 21 here, but they did write this song circa 2019 and it started with Thomas' riff on the guitar by a poolside, which sent Damiano off to write this one in Italian.

I find it a real mystery that someone can say they love "English and American music" obviously unaware that it doesn't mean anything else but "any music genre from soft jazz, pop-folk and rave to post-punk and death metal that is produced in the UK or USA".

@@BredoBrado Rock is a music genre. It is a part of any culture where there are people who make it and perform it. It doesn't have to be a dominant or most popular genre, or a genre that people from elsewhere associate that culture with. Maneskin are good enough to have success, and they have a particularly fortunate mixture of 1. talent (nobody can deny that they are good musicians and have a frontman the likes of which weren't seen in the mainstream music probably for decades), 2. sound (various styles of rock and punk in times when they are scarce), 3. looks (4 very different vibes, personalities and exteriors, for almost everyone's taste), 4. attitude (confidence, even if faked at moments, perseverance, willingness to continuously learn and improve skills) and 5. brains (good hunch when to push their own style and when to accept others' input, when to change the manager, when to go for festivals and tours), plus some undeniable luck to pop up at the right time (the era of the global social media), shine at the right place (Sanremo, Eurovision), and go viral by pure chance (the TikTok viral they had with Beggin'). They knew how to take what was offered and spin it by applying effort and skill they had been gathering since they first started playing together in high school. When everything is put together like this, it would have been be a mystery if they hadn't made it.
