I made a glass ornament one time when I was younger
@museumofglass2 ай бұрын
That’s sounds like a amazing experience, making your own ornament with assistance is a experience that we provide. The hands on experience can be found on our website and having a physical object you can keep is always the best part!

There seems to be a weird glitch with KZbin that says this video is 18:41 when it's actually only 2:27. Is that happening to anyone else?
@PodsofWar4 ай бұрын
thank you for this video, i've been searching for how to make a rondel and this is one of the only videos i can find!

I lived in Tacoma for a while. On one rainy off-day, I went and spent about half a day there just sitting quietly in the observatory area watching the craftsmen work on glass pieces. It was a good day....

Maybe this is covered later, but how do you clean up the end where the piece is cut off before annealing?
@turbulentocean9778 ай бұрын
I believe you're supposed to torch off shards and cracks etc like firepolishing, then they cold grind it off
@museumofglass7 ай бұрын
Cleaning up the end is called Coldworking. The remaining punti glass is ground off using various tools.
