What size spacers are you running all around? Also do you know if these specific m sport wheels can fit 275’s? It seems very little people have the genuine m sport package in the states
@bimmer-addiction10 ай бұрын
12mm front and 30mm rear. The spacers were to make a set of 20” F30 spec Dinan wheels fit and I just left them on with stocks in the winter. I don’t think a 275 would fit on the 8.5 stock wheel tbh.

I want catless downpipes but i am scared it's going to be too loud with my straight pipe that i have. Damn decisions haha sorry i am late to this build + #loveandHUNDREDS

This was a cold start and I was backed up against my garage so it may sound a bit louder here than in reality. I ended up doing a muffler delete later on and it was decently loud getting on throttle, but if you were to code out cold start it probably wouldn’t bother any neighbors if that’s a concern.

Just had to take my intake off and now I need some help please! Car was parked for a couple of years, put a battery in and it started up just fine with a little bit of rough idle, but noticed when I turned the lights on it would idle a bit more rough to the point of shutting off but after turning off the light it would smooth back out. Then saw smoke coming from the engine, it was the wire that connected to the oil pan, that wire was burned all the way through the wire harness that I traced all the way up to the harness mounted on the firewall. I don’t know what could’ve caused that but want to know if I have to change the entire wire Arness or I can continue to trace that wire that goes to the oil pan and replace just those wires. Help please! By the way the car is a five speed manual

G'Day from Australia. I have an e36 M50B20 early one and all the other videos are about later American models. Your video is great. You explain everything and clearly know your sh*t, mate! My regulator blew its diaphragm and before I watched your video tore out the fan duct at the back of the engine bay, the electrical channels too all because some clown put the hose clamp facing the back exhaust side. no way to get to it. Had I watched your video I'd have saved an hour. My only complaint is how to unclip the injectors. I couldn't really see, but hey. 5 stars anyway buddy. Thank you !!

How is the smell with the catless DP? Do the secondaries tone down any fuel smell? Like on a scale of 0-100 how much do you notice anything?

On a 1-100 maybe 25 at cold start and 15 at idle? It really doesn’t smell that much with the secondaries still in place.

Hey, I have the same engine, im chasing a slightly rough idle and a delay on throttle press, from which i assume is a vaccum leak. removing the oil cap made no change to the engine, replaced the cap and valve cover gasket, still no change when removing the cap, and still hearing that air hiss--I'm told thats normal but I'm unsure if that's true. I've sprayed around the intake to hear to any leaks and the idle does not change, i have new intake gaskets so i may as well change them out in case they are actually at fault. good video, thorough and explained well!

@bimmer-addiction3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The crank pos sensor wiring is very hard to reach without removing the intake, I'd recommend removing it if you can - just go slow. The wire runs under the intake manifold and will be easy to access. PelicanParts has some good instructions on their site with photos.
