The same myth was in the Epic of Gilgamesh 1000 years before Genesis was written. Replace Noah with Utnapishtim and Yahweh with Enki. Not the only thing Judaism and subsequently Christianity borrowed from other religions.

Catholics are among some of the most devout people I've ever met but so was Cornelius. Cornelius pray to God always, gave alms, feared God, and even saw visions. He saw an angel that told him to send for Peter who would come tell him words by what she would be saved. Peter came and preached Jesus and while Peter was still preaching the Holy Spirit fell upon Cornelius in his house and all of them spoken tongues just like Peter and the other 120 originals on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2. Then Peter commanded them to be baptized by full immersion (as the Greek word means to plunge or submerge). Baptism, and receiving the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues is the same message Jesus preached in John 3:1-8 and Mark 16: 15-17. Same salvation the experienced in Acts 2 and that Peter preached has the gospel in Acts2:38-41. It's the same salvation Samaria experienced in Acts 8, Paul experienced in Acts 9, and the 12 men of Ephesus experienced in Acts 19. And we know Paul stated enrollments 8:9 that if anyone doesn't have the spirit they don't belong to Christ. We also know that to them is equated with a burial service in the Bible and that no one is buried by sprinkling or pouring but rather being completely covered. Praise the Lord that we have the opportunity to turn from our way to God's in repentance, bury our old life through full immersion baptism, and be reborn into new life through the infilling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in new tongues.

I would never expect such stupidity from a mature person. The fact is that from the time of Christ himself we Catholics have believed, and preached, that our whole faith is centered on the divine person we call Jesus. In 2,000 years Catholics have always had a very deep faith in Jesus, true God and true man. Obviously we Catholics are Christians.

There is not record in the New Testament of God's apporval the early church being involved with of idols or statues as part of their worship. The oposite is the case - flee idols (1 Corinthians 10). Jesus in John 4 really spells it out "...worship God in spirit and truth...'

The vain, repetitious prayer Jesus warned about was the type of prayer described in 1 Kings 18:26-28: Quote: “And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made. And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.” The pagans would call upon the name of their gods over and over until they got the god to respond. If their god responded, it made the shaman or holy man a big shot, capable of calling the gods down from heaven. That's the "vain" part. The "repetitious" part is not the problem. Jesus prayed the same prayer three times in the Garden. The angels in heaven endlessly repeat "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME." Now that's repetitious prayer, but it's pleasing to God. Just like the Rosary. Keep on prayin'! Here is a list of some in each category that you can check in your Bible. @@maverickvgge I think you guessed right. Just as not everyone can be an Apostle, neither does everyone operate Interpretation or the gift of tongues in a meeting. The only sign given in scripture that proclaims somewone is Spirit Filled, is when they speak in tongues - Acts 2:4, Acts 10 and Acts 19. Many confuse the sign of speaking in tongues as one is baptised/filled with the Holy Spirit and then later, when the church is gathered together, the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit, particularly the three voice gifts; Tongues, Interpretation and Prophecy.

Paul did not criticise Speaking tongues in its self - he criticised the wrong use of that wonderful, God given experience. 1 Corinthians 14 is all about the correct use - Paul personally loved speaking in tongues "...more than you all...," but it is not there for giving thanks for the cup or opening a meeting in prayer - that should be in a language commen to most of the folk present - not for preaching either.

A precise English translation would be "Thou art Rock, and upon this very (or same) rock will I build my church", since Matthew uses the demonstrative pronoun taute, which means "this very" or this same, when he refers to the rock on which Jesus' church will be built. When the demonstrative pronoun "this" is used after a conjunction such as the word "and" here, it refers back to the immediately preceding noun. In this case, it equates the "rock" with the preceding one, namely Peter; and the use of "and" rather than "but" indicates the same.[5][6][7] The suggestion sometimes advanced that "πέτρος" indicated a pebble, but "πέτρα" a rock, is unfounded. The entries in Liddell and Scott for the two words indicate that, while "πέτρα" can mean a cliff, rather than a detachable rock, "πέτρος" is used, for instance, for a boulder forming a landmark,[8] or for rocks rolled down a hill against enemy troops.[9] Christ is the Corner Stone not the Rock His being the chief corner-stone of the Church Isa 28:16 1Pe 2:6,7🤔🤔

I think Peter one day will shout I never was and I never am a Pope. He was a great Apostle. One would never want to take away from the importance of Peter - particularly in Acts 1 and 2 - and of course over and again in the following chapters. It was the Apostle Paul who was taken to Rome and was executed by Nero - no Bibleical record that Peter ever went to Rome - yet another Roman Catholic Church fairy tale! The main purpose of my video's were to Catholics that actually get saved - Spirit Filled as they speak in tongues and get prorperly water baptised - don't try and then mix the new wine in the old bottle!

@@bibleman8010so have you yourself been born of water and Spirit (baptized by full immersion by someone who is Spirit-filled) and have received the Holy Spirit for yourself with the evidence of speaking in new tongues? That's what Peter preached in Acts 2 and the salvation the gentiles received when he preached to them in Acts 10-11. Has that been your experience as well?

Jn 21:15-17, "Simon, son of John, dost thou love me?.....Feed My sheep." Note! Jesus did not say feed YOUR sheep. He said Feed MY sheep. Acts 15:7, "And after a long debate, Peter got up and said to them, 'Brethren, you know that in early days GOD made choice among us, that through my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the Gospel and believe." The Catholic Church has a visible head on earth today (the Pope) just as it did in its infancy, one who will shepherd the flock and who will represent the invisible head Jesus Christ... "And after a long debate, Peter got up and said to them, "Brethren, you know that in early days GOD made choice among us, that through MY mouth the Gentiles should hear the Word of the Gospel and believe." Acts 15:7-11 Right after Peter's discourse in Acts 15:7-11, which was during the first Church council, the Council of Jerusalem, the dissension within the council was abated. "Then the whole meeting quieted down and listened..." Acts 15:12 This is a prefigurement of the authority of the Pope, "Rome has spoken, the issue is settled."👏👏👏👏

As you well know the word Pope does not get mentioned in the Bible. Peter was no Pope; actually he would be horrified if he knew what the Catholic Church had/has made him. When Cornelius (Acts 10) bowed down to Peter, Peter immediately told him to stand up. Why? Becasue he was just a man!

In the 16th chapter of Matthew's Gospel, Christ singled out the Apostle Peter for the central position of founding His Church and gives to Peter the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. The best spokespersons for an understanding of Matthew would be members of the Apostolic Church, those who heard the words of Christ and writers of the New Testament who recorded the words and deeds of Christ and the early church. 😉😉 The Evangelists usually make Peter the spokesperson for all the apostles. Mk 8:29 And he (Jesus) asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter said to him in reply, "You are the Messiah." Mt 18:21 Then Peter approaching asked him, "Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?" Lk 12:41 Then Peter said, "Lord, is this parable meant for us or for everyone?" Jn 6:67-68 Jesus then said to the Twelve, "Do you also want to leave?" Simon Peter answered him, "Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." In especially dramatic scenes in the Gospels, Peter is often the central figure. Mt 14:27-28 At once (Jesus) spoke to them, "Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid." Peter said to him in reply, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." Lk 5:3-8 Getting into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, he (Jesus) asked him to put out a short distance from the shore. ... He said to Simon, "Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch." Simon said in reply, "Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets." When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish and their nets were tearing. ... When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said, "Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man." Mk 10:28 Peter began to say to him, "We have given up everything and followed you." Mt 17:24-25 ...the collectors of the temple tax approached Peter and said, "Doesn't your teacher pay the temple tax?" "Yes," he said. When he came into the house, before he had time to speak, Jesus asked him, "What is your opinion, Simon?" Peter is always named first when the apostles are listed in the synoptic gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. Mk 3:16-17 He (Jesus) appointed the twelve: Simon, whom he named Peter; James, son of Zebedee, and John ... Mt 10:2 The names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Lk 6:13-14 When day came, he called his disciples to himself, and from them he chose Twelve, whom he also named apostles: Simon, whom he named Peter, and his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Acts 1:13 When they entered the city they went to the upper room where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip ... It is not uncommon that the apostles are simply referred to as Peter and "his companions" or "the apostles." Acts 2:37 ... they asked Peter and the other apostles, "What are we to do, my brothers?" Lk 9:32 Peter and his companions had been overcome by sleep ... Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles said in reply, "We must obey God rather than men." In light of the special calling on his life, the sacred authors refer to Peter as being singled out and being shown signs of respect. Jn 20:3-8 So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first, ... but did not go in. When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths ... Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first ... Jn 21:15-17 Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs" ... "Tend my sheep." ... "Feed my sheep." In Paul's letters, Peter is called the first witness to the Resurrection. 1 Cor 15:3-5 ... Christ died ... was buried ... was raised on the third day ... that he appeared to Kephas, then to the Twelve. Paul repeatedly call Peter "Kephas," the name given him by Christ. Gal 1:18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to confer with Kephas and remained with him for fifteen days. Gal 2:9 James and Kephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave me and Barnabas their right hands in partnership ... Gal 2:11 And when Kephas came to Antioch, I opposed him ... Gal 2:14 ... I said to Kephas in front of all ... 1 Cor 1:12 I mean that each of you is saying, "I belong to Paul," ... "I belong to Kephas," ... 1 Cor 3:22 Paul or Apollos or Kephas, or the world or life or death, or the present or the future: all belong to you ... 1 Cor 9:5 Do we not have the right to take along a Christian wife, as do the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Kephas? Luke, in the Acts of the Apostles, clearly acknowledges Peter's leadership role. Acts 2:14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them, "You who are Jews ..." Acts 3:12 When Peter saw this, he addressed the people, "You Israelites, why are you amazed at this?" Acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the holy Spirit, answered them, "Leaders of the people and elders" Acts 5:3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart ..." Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles said in reply, "We must obey God rather than men." Acts 8:20 But Peter said to him, "May your money perish with you ..." Acts 10:34 Then Peter proceeded to speak and said, "In truth, I see that God shows no partiality." Acts 11:4 Peter began and explained it to them step by step, saying... Acts 15:7 After much debate had taken place, Peter got up and said to them ... Acts 3:6 Peter said, "I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, (rise and) walk." Acts 9:34 Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed." Acts 9:40 Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed. Then he turned to her body and said, "Tabitha, rise up." Acts 5:15 Thus they even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on cots and mats so that when Peter came by, at least his shadow might fall on one or another of them. Acts 10:9-10 The next day, ... Peter went up to the roof terrace to pray at about noontime. ... he fell into a trance. Acts 10:46-47 Then Peter responded, "Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people, who have received the holy Spirit even as we have?" The Gospels make explicit statements about Peter's unique role in the church. Lk 22:31-32 "Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat, but I have prayed that your own faith may not fail; and once you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers." Jn 21:15-17 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs." He then said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep." He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, "Do you love me?" and he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." (Jesus) said to him, "Feed my sheep." Mt 16:15-19 He (Jesus) said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

@@FullGospelRevival-ye5ur CONSTANTINE REIGNED FROM 306 to 337 AD NOTICE THE FOLLOWING DATES... Evodius was the first Bishop of Antioch (ordained by Peter) of the Catholic Church, and he is credited with being the first person to call the followers of Christ, "Christians", as shown in Acts 11:26. Saint Ignatius (35-107), the second Bishop of Antioch wrote a letter to the Smyrneans in 107 A.D.. In this letter is recorded the first known use of the words "Catholic Church"... St Ignatius is a holy and blessed martyr for the gospel. St Peter himself appointed Ignatius as bishop of Antioch. What about exodus 25:18 where God wanted Moses to make two gold cherubim, kinda like golden calfs but for holiness instead. The reason why this is fine is that it glorifies God, idols are meant to be used for blasphemy, holy statues are meant to bring you closer to God Tell me: Out of all the saints, which ones condemned images? Why do none of the great people of Christ, who sacrificed their lives for him, condemn images, and on the contrary venerate them. @@FullGospelRevival-ye5ur Well the Catholic church agrees that people shouldn't worship statues, doing so is 100% forbidden according to Catholicism, praying in front of statues / bowing or whatever is not worshipping the statues, there is no life in them, since Jesus and Mary is not here on earth, we bow down to statues, and God see our devotion to them on earth, not insinuating that the statue itself is Jesus or Mary. For example some people prostrate or bow down to pray, but God is not literally sitting in a throne in the skies, nevertheless he sees us If bowing to a statue is idolatry, so is bowing normally while praying, because it insinuates that God is in the skies, where he is not and according to this logic statues are idolatry since you assume God is in the statues But when we bow before statues, we do it as an act of reverence for God, he sees it, just like people bow down without statues No true Catholic thinks that God is literally in the statues, we are not idolators

Look sir I am not Catholic but your arguments seem either not completely thought through or uncharitable. For the graven images concern look at the context leading to that commandment. The Israelites had just made a golden calf and worshiped it. The commandment right before it is “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” This clearly means not to worship anything or anyone other than God. Now if images or sculptures of things in heaven was forbidden, why did God command Moses to make gold cherubims on the mercy seat? (Exodus 25:18) Same with Solomon’s temple (1 Kings 6:23-35) There is a difference between veneration and worship. As for intercession of the Saints: look at Stephen the Martyr in (Acts 7:56-60). Saul who later is Paul was interceded for by Stephen appealing to our Lord and Savior. If you have a problem with the Saints being “dead” then I fear you may lack faith. Are they not alive in Christ? This is his promise and he is faithful. Don’t get me started on the real presence of Christ. I can’t say much for any other points. I will say however this doesn’t accomplish anything except going after other Christians with your own self righteousness. As a consequence there will only be more division and less unity. If we Christians spent less time picking apart each other and working on being like Christ and spreading the Gospel, this world would be much better. God bless you, God bless the Catholics, may we all be united unto him. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.

No other denominations can trace back their lineage from the apostles "Christian is my name, and Catholic my surname. The one designates me, while the other makes me specific. Thus am I attested and set apart... When we are called Catholics it is by this appellation that our people are kept apart from any heretical name." Saint Pacian of Barcelona, Letter to Sympronian, 375 A.D..😉

@@FullGospelRevival-ye5ur Tongues🤦‍♂️ Here...let St. Paul answer for us: Spiritual Retardation and Speaking In Tongues "Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Have all gifts of healing? ****Do all speak with tongues?**** Do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet I shew unto you a more excellent way." - Cor. 12: 29-31 **** The answer to this rhetorical question, is, of course: "NO!" Speaking in tongues (in the form of strange and unknown tongues) is a relatively new phenomenon in the Protestant churches, of less than a hundred years old. in the scriptures this strange form of Speaking in unknown tongues, was sharply criticized by St. Paul. "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." - 1 Jn.. 4:1 "I would that ye all spake with tongues; but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues" - 1 Cor. 14:5 "So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air." - 1 Cor. 14:9 "Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me." - 1 Cor. 14:11 "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful." - 1 Cor. 14:14 "Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue." - 1 Cor. 14:19 "If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues (I.E strange and unknown tongues), and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?" -- 1 Cor. 14:23 Source(s): "Are all apostles? @@FullGospelRevival-ye5ur Here's just a few for you:😉😉 It teaches that baptism is immersion instead of pouring (Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:12). Actually, the Catholic Church does not teach against immersion, and that is obviously a valid way for baptism. That said, neither of those passages say in order for a baptism to be valid, it must be done only in immersion. Actually, the Bible speaks quite clearly that other ways of baptism are valid as well. For example, when Ezekiel specifically speaks of the New Covenant, God says, Eze. 36:25-27: 25 I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. 26 A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances. Notice that in the new covenant, the water that is sprinkled brings the Holy Spirit. Obviously, it can not be limited to immersion. Another example, in Acts 16, when the jailer is baptized with his whole household (Acts 16:30-34). Paul goes with the jailer to his home, and baptizes the household there, in the middle of the night. There was no lake where they were immersed. In the houses back then, there were no facilities anywhere in a house, where they could get immersed. It is obviously that either sprinkling (as written by Ezekiel) or pouring could be the only way that the jailer and his family could get baptized.

Thanks for the explanation Pr Jock, I have always found it confusing on why the lord commended the unjust steward when he obviously did the wrong thing, however now it makes sense that yes he did do well, but it was in getting the children of the world to like him and gain their popularity rather than fixing his own ways.

Disappointed that my comments were deleted. I would of preferred you went through every point that I made and disproved them with scripture. It’s not about my beliefs or your beliefs it’s about being honest with the fullness of the scriptures and letting them speak for themselves.

Hear, hear! Well said, Pastor! Every year on the 31st of October, I love to focus on the story of the charge at Beersheba by the Australian Light Horse. It is far more uplifting and heartwarming than all the other rubbish that gets regurgitated on the 31st of October.... Such courage by our forefathers in the face of possible hopelessness and defeat always stirs the soul... As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. God bless, and keep up the good work.

Thank you for your presentation but you did leave out some key information and scriptures that support a world wide flood. You even said yourself that the Noah flood story in Genesis sounds like a world wide flood so why would we think otherwise. We live by faith, do we have to understand everything and analyse everything to believe it. Yes you brought up some good points and questions if it was indeed world wide but the scriptures give us a pretty good idea so why a different narrative. We use to say at church well it could be this or it could be that but now we are more dogmatic against a world wide flood with no solid support from the scriptures. Quite the contrary. The first point you made was if we have to believe in Noah’s Ark how can we believe the rest of the Bible. The answer is by faith, we shouldn’t bow to anyone to accomodate their unbelief or doubt. Gods Word is our authority. Yes the whole world wasn’t taxed so we use the scripture in context with the story. Let scripture interpret scripture. You said there was no indication of dangerous animals on the ark, my amplified Bible says every wild beast according to its kind in Gen 7 vs 14 then I looked in my concordance and beast 2416 is different from the clean beast in Gen 7 vs 2 929. You spoke about the heaviest rain recorded which is fair enough but you didn’t mention the same scripture also says all the fountains of the great deep broken up and the windows of heaven were opened. How can you measure how much water came out of the great deep? You cannot. Nor the windows 699 from heaven which could be openings in the firmament as we know from Gen 1 and Ps 148 that there is waters separated below and above the firmament. Windows 699 window sluice with opening for water. Flood water can travel at over 10 miles per hour, x10 by 24x 40 days at least and maybe even 190 days then you have enough water to cover the earth. We know the scriptures say the earth(land) was founded on the waters so there is no reason the waters cannot go up then back down. If the flood was local why spend 100 years building an ark when they could of just moved or if the flood was local why put birds on the ark. If the flood was local why put a rainbow in the sky all over the world and not just Mesopotamia. 2 Peter 3 vs 5-7 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old,and the earth standing out of the water and in the water. 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men. So Peter mentions the world being overflowed with water perished. The word ‘World’ is 2889 Kosmos. Does Kosmos sound like a local area or the world? So is the day of judgement of ungodly men reserved for all mankind or just local men because he says the same world that was flooded is now reserved for judgement day. You also mentioned how long it takes for even shallow water to evaporate well Gen 8 vs 1 says he sent a wind to blow over the land, that’s all we have to know. ‘Deep’ in fountains of the deep 8415 Surging mass of water. ‘Broken’ open 1234 breach break forth ready to burst. You said We don’t have to have those ridiculous thoughts all we have to do is say it’s a local flood. I cannot bring myself to say anything in the Bible is ridiculous. Who really knows? But the Bible is much more pro than local flood so this is where my loyalty stands. God is good.

Questions not answered: It is certainly ‘impossible’ to fit into a small 15 minute video all the details and questions that need to be addressed on the subject of Noah’s Great Flood. Many when confronted with some other ‘impossiblities’ regarding a whole planet flood as apposed to a localized flood, hide behind the: “Where is your faith - God can do the impossible.” Isolated that statement of course is true, but there is not one hint that anything to do with the Great Flood needed faith to believe something out of the normal. A normal 100 year construction of a large boat; a week for Noah and his family to gather food for themselves and their large menagerie. Yes, when Jesus walked on water - a miracle that needed faith for Peter to stay above the waves. When Jesus fed the 4.000 and the 5,000 with a few fish and a loaf of break - miraculous they needed faith. So not addressing some important questions that would need to be answered if the whole planet was flooded behind a smoke-screen of ‘faith,’ really is a cop-out. Such questions as: 1/. Was there enough room in Noah’s Ark to accommodate and feed for 1 year 2.16 million animal species - of which around 1.05 million are insects, It has been estimated there are around 7.77 million animal species. Remember, there was only 8 people involved in caring and feeding the animals inside the Ark. Or did the 2.16 million insects just fly for 1 year without landing or eating? 2/. Did all the races of mankind descend from Noah and his 3 sons? All the different coloured skins; features and psychical difference : e.g. Eskimos; African natives and Bushmen (Pygmies). Some sort of Evolution would be necessary! Moses and the Ethiopian Woman! (Numbers 12:1) Ethiopians obviously known for their dark skin (Jeremiah 13:23) - mentioned at the time of Moses only approximately 700 years after the Flood! 3/. The descendants of Shem, Ham and Japheth are well documented as being localized tribes/peoples that spread out from the Mesopotamian Valley - no mention of the very ancient races such as the Australian Indigenous peoples or early Chinese, that date back well before the flood. 4/. Salt water/fresh water. A localized flood in the Mesopotamian Valley would be fresh water; drinkable water. There is less than 3% of the water on planet earth that is fresh; drinkable. If the whole earth was flooded, the vast majority of water would have been salt water; no dropping a bucket over the side to get some drinable water and it only rained for the first 40 days out of a year! Fresh water fish would have had it tough also! Is it time to hide behind the ‘faith’ answer? 5/. The “…world that then was…” being over flowed perished - the people Noah preached righteousness to; they were the ones that perished. Not sure if anyone believes that Noah did a quick world tour - continent to continent - preaching righteousness (2 Peter 2:5). Did he offer a way of escape to the Jungle Natives of, say, Central and Southern America; say to the Incas or the Mayans? If he did, that is most probably when he collected some sloths (of course both 2 toe and 3 toe) to add to his menagerie! I clearly remember when I was initially saved, that it was such a relief not to be forced to defend a ‘hard-to-believe’ world flood. I was able to say to the would be believer, that the whole earth was not necessarily flooded, but that there was much evidence that it was localized - it was great to be able to move the discussion off what was an unnecessarily stumbling block, on to scriptures to do with salvation; such as Mark 16:15-20; John 3:1-9 and Acts 2:37-38. It was so nice not to have to say to the genuine inquirer that he/she would just have to have blind faith and believe the impossible.

Just a tiny after thought. If most water on planet earth is salt (97%), if the whole planet was covered in salt water, then there was not fresh water after the initial 40 day deluge! No drinking water for Noah, his family or his menagerie!
