What’s the best drills for straight punches
@Fighter-Mind
@Fighter-Mind 8 күн бұрын
There’s several great Drills. It really depends on What you want to improve with your straight punches. I’d probably do some rounds of Long distance shadowboxing. Only focus on the jab and right hand. Do it slowly and technical and increase speed as you get better🥊

When going in and out, we see far too many boxers simply bending the knee and changing the lead foot position. Body stays in the same place and you haven’t achieved anything with your bounce…😵‍💫 Focus on moving your entire body in and out of range, which will massively help you!🥊

If you want to throw fast and effective combinations, then you must first get the technique right.🙏 Remember to spend some rounds on slowing down the intensity and being as technically correct as possible!🥊 If you can’t do things right when it’s slow, how are you gonna do it right when it’s fast?🤔

Here’s the 6 round heavybag Routine, which has helped me the most in my boxing journey🥊🥊🥊 Round 1: The first round is low intensity technical heavy bag work. Hit it with 40-50% power and keep it technically correct! Round 2 and 3: Go for some Long Distance Boxing, where you purely focus on getting in and out of range. You’ll mainly use your jab and your right hand. Remember to punch in various heights, so you don’t just go for the head! Furthermore, I’d would be a good idea to learn about the Pendulum Step, which you can find on our KZbin Channel. Round 4 and 5: Go for short distance, so you purely focus on your hooks and uppercuts. Stay close to the bag and shift angles regularly. Keep your hands up at all time and shift between hard and Quick punches!🥊 Round 6: Mix everything together and go for the Long range as well as the short range. This should feel like sparring, without the heavy bag hitting bag. Also remember your feints, defense and head movement!🥊 Have a great workout🤜🏽🤛🏽

nice video but how to not get tired when pendulum?
@Fighter-Mind
@Fighter-Mind Ай бұрын
I recommend practicing it vigorously🥊 Initially, it will be challenging to maintain, but it will become easier with time. Additionally, you don't need to use the Pendulum step constantly; it's most beneficial for transitioning in and out of range. If you're safely out of danger, regular movement is fine. For close-range, standing flat-footed provides more power. Essentially, the Pendulum is just one of many tools that contribute to becoming a more complete boxer. Hope this helps!🤩
