I was 13 I hated school and wanted to be a pilot. Well……I did ending up flying the A380 after a lot of glamorous aircraft including the 747.

In the first commercial of American Airlines they say there's 6 NY area airports but I thought there's only 3 JFK La Guardia & Newark. Do they say that because this is an old commercial from the 90s and there were 6 NY area airports at that time and 3 of them closed already?

Majority of them are gone actually, and punctuality and safety are FAR better than back in the 70s and 80s. Overall quality has diminished I will give u that but like… cmon now

@@justplanecrazy5575 Hmmmm, another example of the ineptitude of "scheduled," airlines. Another 2 hour delay issued by one of my least favorite carriers from the Northwest. And, it was issued overnight while asleep. Classic tactics by unscrupulous corporate hacks.

Wish ALL of the really great "colorful" airlines could come back....they made flying fun.. some examples : Pan Am, Western, Aloha Airlines, America West, American Trans Air (ATA), Northwest, Rich International, Ozark, Frontier ( the original), Air California, Pacific Southwest, Hughes Airwest, Texas International, Southern, North Central, Trans International / TransAmerica, Eastern, Braniff International ( the original 'flying colors'), Capitol Airways, Piedmont, Air Florida, Reeve Aluetian, MarkAir and Wein Air Alaska, CPair (Canadian Pacific), Eastern Provincial, Pacific Western, Quebecair , Wardair and British West Indian Airways ( BWIA.affectionately known as Bee Wee). Actually, the Soviet Union Had used *“the Internationale”* before they used the anthem we are familiar with. Which they first used the ussr anthem in 1944. And the Internationale was used in 1917 until 1944.
