Great video! You could easily uplevel it by lowering your camera slightly. I find when the camera is above eye level with most people, it's not as pleasant. In some scenes you are looking over peoples shoulders, which provides an uncomfortable perspective to a POV video.

I'm going in June. Is the Pantheon fountain undergoing restoration?
@romewalkingtours2 ай бұрын
I don't think so. A few days ago I passed by there and there was no work going on. If I go by there again, I'll update you on the situation.

@@romewalkingtours Thank you for replying so quickly! That's great to hear. I love that fountain and look forward to seeing it again in June! : ) If you see that it is under restore, please let me know, but it sounds like you would have noticed ; ). Thank you : ) Simon

Great job, but I recommend using the Sony FX30 camera, colors are much more realistic !
@romewalkingtours3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Definitely the FX30 has a better end result, but unfortunately the equipment for this kind of work becomes heavy. Consider that I generally use the FX3 or FX6 for work but thinking of bringing them for a walking tour becomes challenging. that's why I chose at the moment a dji action 4 which I find better than the gopro anyway. I would like to upgrade to a dji pocket 3. What are your thoughts on this? Alessandro
@padilok56413 ай бұрын
Ah yes I understand, but have a look at the "Walk and Camera" channel, its owner makes walking tours using the Sony FX30 camera, the quality of the video is exceptional and he doesn't seem to be bothered by its weight (but it's much more expensive than the dji pocket 3). I watch them with my Meta Quest 3 and it's so immersive!

This is EXACTLY the Rome I know and love! Get lost in the streets, stop and have lunch anywhere, keep wondering, get lost again... where are we? Who cares! Rome is amazing. Oh look, there's the Pantheon, now I know where we are! Great vid!

Hi, thanks for the comment. I did nothing but take the camera and walk through the streets of Rome where you just turn a corner of an alley and discover scents, monuments and the most beautiful things you can see in the world. Alessandro

My last trip we spent a month living on Salita de' Crescenzi, across the street from the armondo @@romewalkingtours Living next to the Pantheon was a lot of fun. Not sure I'd want to live right there full time, but it was still a wonderful experience. Postcard views around every corner in Rome! Thanks for sharing!

My maternal grandfather, Vincenzo Checca, was born in Pettorano sul Gizio in 1894 and immigrated to the USA in 1910. In 1914, he returned to Italy to fight in the Italian army during WW1 (Don't ask me why.). After the war, my grandfather returned to the USA never to return to Italy. I visited Petorano sul Gizio in 2013. It appears to have changed little since my grandfather's time. My original plan was to retire to Italy when I retire at the end of 2026 as I have UK citizenship. However, BREXIT threw a spanner into my plans. I'm now planning to retire to Argentina.

Enchanting christmas in rome? No way, the enchanting christmas is were we have mountains and snow, not were we have thief and bitch. If you want to spent christmas in italy, go with the alps: Alpe di siusi, Ortisei, Cortina, Madonna di Campiglio, Canazei, Dobbiacco, Sesto, San Martino Di Castrozza, San Vito Di Cadore, Auronzo Di Cadore.... Courmayour, Zermatt, Cervinia, Valtournenche... Livigno, Bormio, Ponte di legno... Sestriere, Limone, Bardonecchia. If you want city, Milano, Torino, Aosta, Trento, Bergamo.. Nothing magical in rome.

Great videos but use a slightly wider lens, the perspective doesn't allow us to feel we're doing a virtual tour but rather looking through a narrow windshield of a car
@romewalkingtours9 ай бұрын
thank you for this advice. i always had doubts whether to use a standard lens or a wide angle lens. Do you recommend a wide angle lens? do you think the video renders better? Thank you for the advice.Alessandro
@photographedemode9 ай бұрын
@@romewalkingtours - look at the lens that the Channel "ProWalk Tours" uses, some of his tours you feel you are walking around in the city, the lens perspective puts you literally in the environment as if you're there.
