Don't listen to people talking bout turbo brotha fr, I got a Miata drift build and yes a turbo is nice but it's not necessary at all and i feel like mfs don't actually understand how much everything costs for real, but bro you got plenty of power in a IS300. Manual swap fs in the future but with practice you can whip the auto just fine people have done it

If you don’t plan to Manual swap it anytime soon here me out. Don’t worry about boosting it. Cars got decent power. Find you a decent angle kit. Don’t go eBay china kit. Find you some 17s for the rear. They won’t look the way you want but you will have better wheel speed. Angle kit and find some 235s and run like 50 psi and you’ll notice a big difference

Nice video bro. A few things tho to get better at drifting. 1. You should consider welding your differential. Look up videos on it it’s cheap and easy. I think you have an open differential which is making it super hard for you to initiate a drift and to keep the drift going. The differential opens up every time you slide to correct the car straight because that’s what the open differential is supposed to do. Weld it shut to keep it locked so it won’t open on u while drifting. It’s much safer to drift on a welded diff than an open diff. It’s really unpredictable when drifting with an open diff and can cause you to crash into a wall. 2. I noticed when you whip the wheel to start sliding sideways, you hold onto the steering wheel for too long. Ur fighting the wheel to make the car slide and it causes you to spin out. Let go of the wheel once you feel the rear wheels break loose. After letting the steering wheel go, the steering wheel will counter steer to the other side to correct the car. Once the wheel counter steers, catch the steering wheel and just keep counter steering in a side to side motion to keep the car side ways. If you don’t counter steer then you will just straighten out the car or spin out. 3. I noticed you also keep ur foot on the gas all the way to the floor after you feel the car get sideways. This is what also causes spin outs. When you feel the car get sideways, just like I mentioned about letting go of the steering wheel, let go of the gas too. You wanna feel where the car’s momentum is sliding to. When you get the hang of feeling the momentum and knowing where your drift is going, you can notice when you let go of the gas it’ll stop the car from spinning out after initiating a drift. After that, get back on the gas and feather the gas pedal to feel it out. You gotta understand how much gas you give it will give it a certain amount of power to where you can maintain the drift and keep the car sideways. Too much gas will spin out ur car. Over all I think if you just weld ur differential or have someone weld it for you (like a shop or anyone local with a welder) you’ll have a LOT more fun drifting and a LOT less spinning out.
