I Play Keyboards I Have Now. I Play By Ear, Like My Grandmother. Mama Could Read Music Only. Couldn't Play By Ear. I Have Always Wanted To Learn The Steel. Or Even A Dubro. It Looks Like A Regular Guitar. But It Is A Lap Steel. I Grew Up With All These Old Hymns. My Number One Funeral Song Is Going To Be ' "In The Garden " , It's The First One I Remember As A Child Hearing Mama And Grandma Play. You See, On Sundays After Church And Sunday Dinner. We Would Go In The Living Room And They Would Play On The Piano. But Too All These Old Classic Hymns , Have Brought So Much Comfort To So Many Souls Over The Years. Like The Words To In The Garden. One Day When My Time Comes or Jesus Comes Back First. I'll Be Walking In The Garden With Him One Day As All Of Us Who Know Him Will Do As Well. My Other Two Songs Will Be "Because He Lives ", And "I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You ", By Alan Jackson. He Sang It At His Daddy's Funeral For His Mama And Then At His Mama's Funeral Too. Sorry About All My Rambling. Comes From Being From The South And Being A Southern Lady Too I Reckon. There's Nothing Like All These Old Hymns. It's A Shame They Have Just About Quit Singing Them In The Church's. I Do Not Care For This New Stuff , They Call Phraise Music. It's The Same Words Over And Over Again.
