You are right; It is impossible for a non-gypsy to perform gypsy music. But in the same way it is impossible for someone from western Europe to perform Chinese. With that way of thinking it is obvious there is no way. But with other ways of thinking the first claim is regional egotistm (only the selected few- US- can do it), and it is ridiculous that there is no way.
