A weighted Owner Beast hook works well. Swims like a flounder.

That is a great looking bait Mark. I think you are right about throwing it on a drop shot. I have never tried them, but I will be picking some of these up. I have seen vids of guys in Japan throwing this on a free rig also. Good luck!

I would rather watch someone else catch a world record. I took an old neighbor hunting, put him in my stand and got a huge buck I had trail cam of all season. Yes, I'm jealous but also happy for him. Id rather have a winning bag and break down. At least I would know I could catch them. Lake Erie I would decide in the moment. Last year I took the gf fishing who had zero interest. She has become almost as hardcore as me and we fish together often

I live in bear country and see black bears frequently during the warmer months. To me it’s always a good thing to see a bear. My wife and I have seen three so far this year. Our resident large male bear I named Big Boy hasn’t shown up yet. I’m worried about him. I’m concerned something happened to him. He’s probably 250-300 lbs and would be targeted by hunters.

I say I’d rather have the winning bag with boat issues, now that’s a good story. My buddy can catch the big bass my turn right around the corner 😊😂🙈 I caught a few decent bass for my area but I fish by myself a lot and all I wanted was to hold that thing is and show someone. Thankfully we have camera phones now so f I got a few photos. I got one 21” and 19 and 3 quarters. I got the 19 just the other day

I've seen you guys a few times come through my feed and have watched a few of your videos. I did subscribe tonight because your channel keeps improving and getting viewer suggestions will help. The only complaint that I've seen is it seems a bit scripted, the more you can be yourself the more enjoyable it will be to watch. That will prolly take some time to get used to and may have to edit or record things a few times. I always enjoy people being real, honest, and showing their true personality more than anything else on youtube. Keep us up to date in new fishing trends, tackle, techniques, and of course drama, which will make your channel take off!

I just used this today. I did get several bites on this rig but could not hook anything. I changed back to my gama drop shot hook and brought in every fish that bit. I will use the dropshot hook

Really a great channel. I like how you both are on. Makes it more genuine and fun. I wouldnt change much. But maybe more on water(possible with both of you) showing a technique . Maybe talking or showing a few techniques that are good for each month. I know alot channels do it, but i always find it interesting the difference of option each pro feels is the best for the month. Hope you both have a great weekend.

I know many people do the videos but perhaps monthly suggestion videos like best baits for June… maybe top three for largies and top three for smallies. Also more about baits and techniques you like at different times of the year and situations… always looking for more info about what they like at different times in different parts of North America.

I also like the "On the water Wednesday" videos. Length of the videos is fine , , , , , I sometimes lose focus when a video is too long. Videos showing new products, how-to instructions interest me, as do recaps of your tournaments (the good and the bad). Glad I found your channel. Safe travels to/from NY !!!

The Wednesday videos are great. Some tech videos i think could be more detailed. Equipment/tackle videos are good. I always like to hear about or aee what people are buying and using. Also twraks to baits and equipment like upgrading bearings and spools. Overall is say you guys are doing a good job. Dont be afraid to do a little bit longer videos.

I'm thinking with the right rig and current. This would look really good to a catfish. Plus it would be re-usable. What's your thoughts?
@markfisheroutdoors7 күн бұрын
The little I know about catfish is; that just about anything can look good to a catfish. The one thing I mentioned in the video is that you DO need to reel this bait pretty pretty steadily to get it to have the action you saw in the pool. Otherwise it just kinda lays there.

I fish these a lot and highly recomend an Owner 4/0 Twistlock hook and alway rigged backwards. If you use a standard wide gap EWG as shown and this is a one Bass per bait lure as the bulky bait will rip out at the bend. The screwlock greatly increases durability with no negative effects. In fact I recommend this hook for all Yamamoto baits when Texas rigging, like the Senko, Yamatanuki, etc. I actually buy the 91768 4/0 Mustad jig hooks by the 100 and the the hitch hikers by 100 from Amazon and make my own.

Lol. I only disagree with 2. I don't like a hotfoot. And I do both put baits in boxes and keep half in packages in bags. The packages are things I use all the time. Boxes have less used baits. Was fun.

Yeah, I understand, like we said, it’s just about knowing what they do and why not that it’s THE Right way or only way.

What is the fall rate? Thank you
@markfisheroutdoors7 күн бұрын
It falls very fast. Depending on your bottom content, I either let it fall to the bottom and then work the bait or if the bottom has weeds I start moving the bait quickly after it hits the water.
@tdbass296811 күн бұрын
On the trailer question I thought it was going to be about the number of wheels. Isn't having 2 per side much safer then only having one in case you have a blowout on the highway?
@markfisheroutdoors7 күн бұрын
Good point. You could help write the questions for the next quiz! Yes you’re right, tandem trailers have a few benefits……maybe that’s a video topic?
