With this senario, after starting the locomotive's engine on a cold day 32* F may have to raise the RPM's to get the fluid circulating and bring it to normal operating range, and the system going.

The G23 engine is a tricky locomotive to start and has problems with 313 cubic feet of air and pulls like a bear in terms of throttle control for the capable yard is about 300 cubic feet of cubic meters near an air supply of 20 meters.
