Cool video! That's an amazing campground. Been there many times myself. It's always a bummer when it starts to pour rain though. Loved that you stopped in my hometown of Kingston for Westside Pizza!

Those were terrible conditions to attempt your first climb of this type! I'm glad y'all decided to turn around! Did you have the weather forecast prior to your attempt? Have you climbed any other mountains since this video? I'm climbing Camp Muir over labor day weekend. Should be better conditions lol.

Thank you! 😊 This was recorded in September 2021. It was not too cold at night and I think it would be better now in July(don’t remember the temperature I think not below 50 deg F). A good sleeping bag definitely helped us at night. I run cold too so I make sure to carry layers no matter what the weather looks like 😁

Oh, I think you'd be fine. I'm 6"1 and I am very comfortable in there. Unless you're getting a 7 seater, the third row would be a bit smaller. 😃

I think you were hearing a woodpecker, though it is not uncommon to spot bear on that trail. You can also continue about 1/2 mile or so from the "view" at the end down to a suspension bridge with a better view of the dam.
