H i Sherry , Just got chance to listen to this. Sounds like something I did before. So sorry I will miss concert. Praying God will touch each voice as you sing praises to His name. Will it be on You Tube? I walked about 8 feet Friday with walker. Praise God. Will be praying for yall. Love. ❤

When the male soloist sang "midst" instead of "mist," I knew I had finally found a recording of this piece that was done well. Takes me way back to the glorious church music my parents used to talk about. Beautiful job, Bellevue.

It was! I have a 97-year-old aunt in a rehab hospital tonight who broke her hip on Christmas Day. She cannot have visitors because of Covid restrictions. I called her a few minutes ago and told her about the Bellevue Choir singing this on Sunday night and how Dr. Rogers would tell us to lay our heads on our pillow and go to sleep for the Lord was watching over us. She quoted the entire song and quoted Ps. 91:11, “For He shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.” What a God we serve!

I remember so well at the close of Sunday night services, the choir would sing this as the lights dimmed. Dr. Rogers would say, "Now go home and lay your head on your pillow and know that the Lord is watching over you." Then as the hymn began "When the morning wakens..." the lights would come back up. It was a beautiful reverent close to the day and a reminder that our God never slumbers nor sleeps but is always watching over us.

This one of the finest renditions of this great anthem I have heard in a long time. The ORGANIST< and the ORGAN are superb!!! the timing of the director of music excellent. Just bless my heart. Our churches don't render this kind of serious music anymore. Excellent!!!!! OUTSTANDING!!!!!!

I grew up in Bellevue and had the privilege of hearing this wonderful music that was sung to praise the Lord. I have never appreciated this music as much as I do now. What a blessing!!!

Margaret Lafferty was one of the finest pianists in the Southern Baptist Convention, or anywhere really. Superb at hymn improvisation. Sweet lady too.
