What is the purpose of placing the pieces across the form before pouring? @0:37
@matheusmamede810310 ай бұрын
I think these pieces hang the reinforcing mesh to guarantee they will keep at right position.
@eat5hams10 ай бұрын
also just for the guys pouring to stand on. watch the guy running the bucket, he stands on it. helps keep the rebar mesh off the bottom of the form

What is the r-value of those walls?
@rd-ch1on2 жыл бұрын
Looked like 2 inch foam. The blue is typically R5 per inch. So R 10 but with no thermal bridges and no air movement whatsoever. I used 4 inch foam for my house that I built in the same method , tilt up. You can't really compare typical wood frame stud and R 20 fiberglass. Those 2 inch foam sandwich panels in the video are far superior
@sharkeyist3 ай бұрын
@@rd-ch1oncan you describe the tilt up method please? Are the panels transported flat (as cast)? Im 🇬🇧 and looking into this method.

If you notice; they start to install a mesh pieces as a key- shear parts for connecting each faces with each others. Watch them on 1:08 Other thing this is a thin wall sandwich panel. Its tilted and erected on the site on its edge.

I wish they'd show a side shot of when they cut the tendons, and the pre-stress causes the entire plank to "bow up", by several inches in the middle.

funny way to bring the wires over to the other end of the casting bed, heavy loaded crane actualy so the crane cable holds pretty strigth down during the prosess of dragging the wires.., why they dont just turn the casting machine and start from the other end when the first bench was complete casted

Awfully time consuming to manually drive the crane with the bucket to dump inside the machine. Replace the craneman with a robot and sensors to make the process automated. Waste of time making the cut out piece in the beginning. Just cut it with the saw you use to divide the elements. The clamps used to lift the elements off the bench are unwieldy and not efficient. Longer clamps and a locking mechanism that removes the lock when you lower it fully, when you lift again it will grip. when you put down the element the clamp will unlock itself. so the operator wont have to do that manually. Also loose the chains/wire that holds the clamps. should have a anti rotation locking mechanism making the clamps be oriented with the elements when driving the crane so the operator can stand at a distance and not having to spin the clamp nor lock/unlock the grip. Ditch the lifting slings and buy a thick rectangular steel plate connected with chains on both side of the plate. Its much easier and efficient to lift whole stacks with.
@Alvgaar4 жыл бұрын
where i work we can cut it and lift it off the bench after 4-5 hours. can make 6 beds on a day with double shift, we only have 4 beds of 120m.

How tall can you build using this technology ?
@rokaskucinskas48404 жыл бұрын
it doesnt matter as long as you have enough space. It can be 20-24 meters. But it is more economical to make one floor tall colums. its 4-5 meters. If its a factory or storage builindg it may be 12 meters.
@rogerfrost37934 жыл бұрын
Rokas Kučinskas How many floors can you built using it ? Can it be use to built that crazy fast construction done in China ?
@rokaskucinskas48404 жыл бұрын
Guilherme Sardinha not certain but I guess many as long as you prepare foundation. More floors more load on structure. Yes it can be used in that construction. You can built fast and tall if you want just space. You can build it straight from heavy machine. 1 column can be done in 10 minutes.

That's crazy. Someone looked at this land and said "Nope, that's not gonna work for me. Fill it with dirt. Fill it, but before you do make sure there's a tunnel that gets me from here to there. I don't wanna have to climb a mountain just to get to where I'm goin." What is this for anyway. Is this like a land bridge? Are they building a couple highways here?

Nice video. Question: How many hours is the mold busy with the fabriction of 1 beam? Thanks
@lafargeprecastconcreteedmo56194 жыл бұрын
Each beam is cast in a work day so that we can cast another one the next day. The process of setup, cast and strip can be done in 24hours.
