Paul accepted monetary support. You’re just wrong.

@ You are wrong, Paul was given money support. This channel demand money for content they didn’t own, the difference here is was given and the channel demand money for the word of God. It is not the same, Jesus warning to take money for the word of God, but not to receive money as a gift
@ignas3589 күн бұрын
@@fynbo1007 I watched the entire sermon, and I did not have to pay a single cent, so I don't understand where they "demand" money. If you're talking about ads, even free videos of a certain length are automatically loaded with ads in order to pay server costs. And how about Luke 10:7, where Jesus says that workers deserve their wages? If someone takes the time to extract and upload content, then I don't think it's a bad thing that they receive wages in line with that work. But again, I was NEVER coerced to make any sort of donation. I watched the entire sermon and was edified.

@ The problem here is, this channel using content who belongs to Gospel in life, in my world it is theft using content who don’t belong to you and at the same time earning money on the content. Why do I know the channel don’t belong to “Gospel in life”, because they had their own youtube channel and a podcast channel where they presented Tim Keller with living video and sound
@ignas3588 күн бұрын
@@fynbo1007 And Gospel in Life is free to put a claim on the video OR upload their content to the automatic content ID system. In addition, Gospel in Life has made ALL their sermons free on their website. No one is taking money from anyone in this scenario. And again, I don’t recall getting mid-roll ads, which means this video was not monetized, but rather KZbin automatically added ads at the beginning and end of the video, since it is a longer video. In my opinion, the gospel is being preached, and no one is losing money. It’s a WIN-WIN for the Kingdom of God.

He had a gift to make the bible come to life. Dr Keller had a gift of relating the message of scripture to our lives. I see myself in these messages.

Definitely one of my favorite teachers. As a native New Yorker, where intelligence is prized near the top, this man was gifted with a large intellectual capacity and an ability to reach those of a different bent, i.e. atheists. He made you think about what he was saying, even if you didn’t agree or weren’t sure you agreed. 😊

God is a God of love. He reaches out to Satan because God accepts Satan where he is at in the situation. Why because God loves Satan and seeks his redemption. Not because of who Satan is. It because of who God is. He reaches even for those who others seem irredeemable. Why does God ask Satan from where do you come? God is all knowing . Satan is trying to prove to God that man is not worthy of Gods love. God loves us. No matter where we are coming from. Because God is love personified.

Excellent sermon on Job, however, what you said at the end about..."when we suffer, even though we have done nothing to bring it on ourselves..."is not always the case. Our suffering can also come about from not following the teachings of Christ and living a life of hedonism. If we succumb to the passions of this world such as gluttony, vanity, lust, and so on, we will surely suffer. This is why Christ said deny yourself and follow me. Our cross is to fight the worldly passions and become more like Christ through Holy Communion, prayer, fasting and studying the the Holy Scriptures, lives of the Saints and Church Fathers. Many people in this world have an even greater cross to bare but for many of us who are not suffering physical persecution the devil will try to break us through worldly temptations. May Jesus Christ give us strength to follow in His footsteps🙏

Years and years of deep suffering. Yet my problems are small compared to others. I was molested as a toddler so many of my issues stem from that. Marital problems, mental problems, childlessness, benzo withdrawal, family estrangment. I asked God many times why, I have begged and pleaded, gotten angry, lots of tears but no answer until now. I am still and I know who My God is and embrace His Will over my life. I pray one day I can embrace suffering with a smile with the knowing that the beginning middle and end of suffering there is still His Grace for me and I am not a burden.

I went through so much chaos, trauma, neglect abuse. It has been so hard, taken years!! But through counseling-which I still go-, small group through my church, AA-truly forgiving and making amends, I am free today!!! I still have had physical issues for years! But I feel SO close to Abba! Watching the chosen, pastor/counselors John Eldredge and Henry Cloud have helped me SOOO much!!! Also Lisa Harper, Joyce Meyer-who went through sexual abuse as well- has helped so much! We can't do this alone!!!❤️🙏❤️

The gracious manner that Tim conveys TRUTH/Christ is something I CHERISH so much and though I connected to his speakings just couple of months ago but the manner he addresses issues? Some of my personal issues? It feels like I know him. (My first encounter with him, was the interview by the focus on the family discussing the matter of FORGIVENESS 'Think he also wrote a book on that')😮But the day I decided to go write him? I discovered he's gone home to be with the Lord. my gosh!!! So I met him in death? Had never been able to conceive that it's possible to make such IMPACT in death. The impact on me certainly has left me not the same for life's meaning and perception is new for me and am learning anew.

I find that some people are "Christian" from the chin up (intellectual), others from the belt up (heart and emotion), but few from the belt down (our wallet, our sexual life, and our feet: where He sends us). He is Lord of all or Lord of nothing in our life.

Compassion should be the motivating factor of a Christian's interaction and involvement in the world. Compassion is what drove God to die and rise again for all mankind and to usher in a new kind of kingdom, a kingdom built on love, mercy, and truth rather than power, oppression and lies.
