I own a Bullet 350 and a Kawasaki versys 300. After a ride on the Kawaski I decide enough is enough I head home, on the Bullet I say the same but when I get close to home we decide to do another 10 minutes, you don't want to stop riding!!!

Hey Matt, just caught your channel today. Thanks for the ride. I also have a Classic but I'm watching this just before Christmas here in the US, long after the riding season has ended. Nice to tag along and hear the engine again. I love your skill downshifting, I've not mastered blipping the throttle in time with the clutch nearly as well as you do here. Cheers. Don

Many thanks indeed Don. We are fortunate that the riding season lasts pretty much all year if you don't mind getting a little wet. I have now changed the 350 classic back to one of the last 500 classics made. I found the 350 to be a brilliant little bike, but missed the raw almost agricultural feel of the older 500's.

Great video Matt. Have done some of these roads, it's great to replay them and see new ones to try. Just bought an ADV 350. I'm very interested in the screen on yours. Which is it? I'm guessing it's an improvement. How tall are you, I'm 6' so if you're only 5'8" it'll be different for you!! Regards Ian

Got a red chrome,perfect bike,in my sixties so just right for me getting back into bikes after forty years,heavy though,done same mileage now,mods done,decat pipe,dna air filter,fuel x light which makes it run much better,cooler,slower steadier tickover,no backfires, cleaner pickup, also put the screen on,and a sixteen tooth gearbox sprocket,cruises better,no noticeable loss of go from standstill,build qaulity is superb,makes you wonder how they are so reasonably priced,tends to draw curious onlookers,so expect lots of chats! done 2k miles on mine,and ride it at every oppurtunity,weather permitting!

They really are excellent bikes. I only traded mine in because a really good deal came up on a as new classic 500 tribute black, very last of the production run, and I somehow prefer the more agricultural feel of the 500s.

Nice ride mate. I Love my little 350 classic. Performance? Limited. Enjoyment? off the scale. I'm in no rush to get anywhere, and let's be honest, who would want to blast past that wondeful scenery . Zen riding is what calms the soul.
Went from a 900 Kawasaki to my little 350 classic 2 years ago totally reliable. It's twice the bike the Kawasaki was. Yes, it's not very powerful, but it has magnificent character and soul, which is something after many test rides no modern tecno bikes I've tried come close to. Not a highway bike, but let's be fair. Are they fun to travel on a bike or in a car miles of nothing to do but sit there. B roads? Total zen and joy

I've read and heard from other reviewers similar but they say the clutch work you have to be very precise it's not a lot of room for error and perhaps not for beginners or those a bit lazier in shifts. The low end torque and is good for newbies for sure. Thoughts?

Good to see you back. Have you changed the 350 for the 500. I went the other way after a test ride of the 350, but I do miss the sound, although I think the 350 is a better handling bike and qui ker overall compared to the 500 I had
@Matt_Lethbridge2 ай бұрын
Thanks Phil. I traded the 350 via a Honda ADV 350 and back to the 500. The 350 was a brilliant little bike, had some of the character of the older bikes, handled better and cruised more comfortably, but lacked the soul of the 500's. I like the more agricultural feel of the 500, and when the tribute black came up for sale, I just could not resist it. The 350 is probably the better bike but the 500 just suits me better, bigger grin factor.......

@@Matt_LethbridgeDoes this have anything to do with the difference in torque between the two?

@@mattcc6603 More to do with the less polished, more traditional (agricultural) feel of the 500. It does feel stronger pulling from low revs, no where near as smooth above 50mph though.
