In 1945 my father had his dream come true when he got a wonderful job as chief accountant for a luxury hotel and cassino in Brazil with a huge salary that was enough for him to but a 1940 greenish Cadillac La Salle exactly as the one on this video, of which he was so proud ! I still have a photo of he standing outside the marvelous La Salle with a foot entering the left door. Will never forget daddy !

My first car was a 1966 polara 4 door. This looks SO similar, but I didn't see a hood ornament. Mine had a really neat triangular emblem that Dodge used back then.

Very nice 68 El Dorado but the hood emblem that stands up on the hood is incorrect the first year they put stand-up Hood emblems on the eldorado was 1971

Grew up around dirt tracks and am still currently racing into my 39th year. I am 50. My Uncle R.d ran the N.D.R.A circuit back then. His car is in the movie. A black Camaro with a silver 77 on it. I absolutely LOVE these cars. I'm building a vintage class car now. Takes me back to the good old days. Best dirt track movie ever.
