I just got an 80's chandelier with strange clear plastic covers over the arms and these plastic flowers where the eyelets are for the octagonal crystal chains go.how can I remove the plastic over the brass arms?any idea why the plastic is there? Love your video,,please do more on history,countries of origin,styles please. G Payment

Better angles on the attaching the bow tie connector would be very helpful! I'm not sure if this is a better way to hang or using the pins and bend them.

We've recently purchase a beautiful pair of Glass Lustres that have beautiful long prisms hanging from glued on glass or acrylic eyelets?" to of the eyelets are missing leaving us unable to hang all the prisms on one of them are you familiar with such elements and where we might get replacements ?

You didn't show how the pins work. You just came back with the bowtie already though the prism. It looks like the bow tie isn't long enough to go through the prism hole and then bend to secure.

How do you remove a broken S shaped arm? I can't get it out. I already purchased the new arm.. please help...

At the end of the arm, there is generally a nut that needs to be loosened before it can be removed. Typically on a chandelier the arms are connected to the body with a plate that may be covered. You may have to take apart the column of the chandelier to remove that cover. Usually you would start from the bottom and start unscrewing components of the chandelier until you get to that cover. Be careful, some chandeliers only have one retaining nut at the bottom to keep all the parts together, if thats the case, all the parts will slide off the bottom. Hope that helps!
