Get the Tru-Tone C7 LED lights - they look EXACTLY like incandescent lights. Well worth the cost. They come in opaque Classic colors and the transparent Jeweltone.

Mercury vapor clear lamps emit a very bluish light, but they don’t look like a metal halide, daylight CFL, or LED. I heard you hate the white light of daylight LEDs, so I doubt you like daylight CFLs or metal halide lighting either. You probably only like soft white CFL, incandescent, halogen, HPS, or mercury vapor.

Because of the way these fixtures flood a wide area with light they are generally refered to as floodlights . Spotlights on the other hand, have a beam with a hotspot or brighter spot of light of varying width of degrees with an area of not so bright light (spill light) surrounding the hotspot depending on the reflector.

The sad part about these new halo/lithonia lighting bucket lights is that I've seen some fail after not even a year! That's super disappointing compared to proper HID bucket lights with twist lock photocells and all metal. Most bucket lights (besides MH) will last you 50+ years!

Seems like the whole world is trying to ban every single non-LED light source largely due to the Minamata Convention on Mercury and due to environmental groups opposing incandescent and halogen lamps for their inefficiencies. I sometimes have felt that some governments want to confiscate and destroy every non-LED light source and want to lock people in prison for the possession and/or use of non-LED lighting. Fortunately, that is not the case in the USA so far.

Even though HID lamps are supposedly discontinued, they won’t totally disappear. They are probably still being produced in China, although inferior to US and European made lamps. They are still readily available in places like Habitat ReStore and even some big box DIY centers. You can get HID lamps for a couple dollars or more at any ReStore.

Metal halide looks less like an LED than a daylight cfl. Daylight CFLs are probably the closest to daylight LEDs in color, and when i see a daylight bulb i can’t even tell if it’s a CFL or LED unless i look at it.

Awesome Video!! I bought up several of these mercury vapor fixtures and other HID lights over the past decade from eBay, FB marketplace, and yard sales just because I like the cool tone and watching the initial "warm up" when they first come on! I just know that someday I'll put one or two into use in my personal dwelling, no matter how much LED's have really taken over.

Can you please tell me where to drill the hole ?
@funstuff45219 ай бұрын
I made a KZbin short on it. let me tell you real quick every unit is different but most units you should drill a hole directly in the middle of the bottom condensation pan. I recommend drilling about 2 inches away from the back of the unit to avoid drilling into the condenser coils and drill directly in the middle. I recommend taking the top cover off of your air condition to make sure where you wanna drill is clear. Let me know if this was helpful.
