Love it, the only long distance Amtrak I have been on is the Coast Starlight...I rode it the first time from Seattle to San Jose as my "ride home from the Navy"; they paid for a roommette. But later on, I flew to San Diego and rode Amtrak all the way, first a short distance trip to Los Angeles, and then the whole Coast Starlight trip from Los Angeles to Seattle, 36 hours. It was great! I hope to ride the California Zephyr at some point as well 🙂

Hi! From the beginning, could you clarify what steps you followed after downloading and installing the VeSync app? Here’s what I did: I opened the Alexa app, navigated to 'Skills & Games,' searched for VeSync, and enabled it. However, when I issue the command to Alexa, it responds with 'Could not find the device named Cosori. I’m using Cosori Dual Blaze , and echo dot in Europe, Romania.

I just made this, now. I am a heart patient so I substituted the butter with an alternative approved by my heart Dr. I also used unsalted hazelnuts and parchment paper instead of butter. I was apprehensive. It turned out AMAZING. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Nicely done Wayne. I appreciate that you explained many aspects of long distance Amtrak journeys without being too tedious with any one item. Good info on tipping, sharing observation lounge seats, meals at a table for four, car attendant's service, power outlets, wi-fi, showers and toilets, and - my favorite - bring your own beverages. Ha! Seriously, well done. I've spent about 15 nights on long haul Amtrak routes: I confirm what you are saying.

More junk from Sleeper Car passengers. There are 98 videos like this to every 2 videos showing this route in Coach. 👎🏻👎🏻 Not wasting 15 minutes on watching someone in Sleeper
@neutrino78x11 күн бұрын
you probably don't want to spend 52 hours in a seat, dude. For one, you don't have access to showers if you do that. Two, you can't lie flat and slept comfortably. Reality is most people who ride Amtrak long distance trains don't ride it the entire distance. They'll be on there for maybe 3 hours. That's what coach is for. 🙂 Those of us who ride it the whole way are doing it for the scenery, not because we need to get somewhere in a reasonable period of time....if I wanted to do that, I would just fly (which I do often). No train can compete with flying for the 2121 mile distance you travel on the California Zephyr, lol. You can fly that whole distance in under five hours, and the train takes 52 hours. Even a French TGV would take 10 hours, double the time it takes a jet aircraft to get there. 🙂

What is your favorite meal on this train? How many hours of uninterrupted sleep did you get on this train, and did you sleep on the button bunk.
@WayneBites4 ай бұрын
I thought the steak dinner was the best meal along with both deserts (I had steak both nights). Lunch is probably the least fancy (burger/sandwich). I slept on the lower bunk and I probably got about 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep. But, full disclosure, that's probably my standard sleep habit at home. My friend in the top bunk said the movement of the train on the first evening made it a bit challenging to get a great nights sleep. But, the second night he said it was much better.

Most margaritas are made with some kind of "margarita mix" which contains a lot of sugar. I'm a low sugar guy myself but the average margarita drinker likes this level of sweetness. Do you find the typical drinker finds your recipe too sour: does the triple sec offer enough sweetness to counter all the acid from the lemon and lime?

Be REALLY SURE about the Microwave Strength or Wattage and the time. I believe this is the right time. If you get it too hot it will ruin. Not hot enough and it will edible but soft. Overall it is extremely easy to make this way. Thanks Friend.

Wayne, I saw you when you did this the VERY FIRST TIME on WMAQ Chicago, and you know how long ago that was. I lost my copy of the recipe over the course of time, and moves, and now I'm living in Texas. But fortunately, I was able to find it just by Googling Wayne's Microwave Peanut Brittle! And it's still as delicious was the very first time I tried it! Thank you so much!
