i have 12 rods with spinning reels and just one for trolling. it is a LEW'S carbonfire speed stick (very lightweight) 7' 2" medium/heavy, fast action with a PENN WARFARE 30LWLCLH (level wind, line count, left hand) with 50lb braid (4 strand). for bigger fish i use my PENN PURSUIT4 combo 10' heavy, fast action with PENN PURSUIT4 8000reel with 80lb braid (4 strand).

got the sam pump but automatic starts when water gets in also had to use velcro as my floor is an air deck v floor use mu battery box to power it

Nice little SIB - are you getting a trailer to go with it? That was what really spoiled SIB’s for me - the idea that you can pack it into the car is lovely but the reality is grim, messy and time consuming. I’d thoroughly recommend a trailer if you don’t already have one. Interesting to see the extra bit of material in the bottom of the boat, levelling off the “V” in the aerodeck. The last Bombard I was in didn’t have that, meaning that the inevitable water in the bottom of the boat meant you and your gear were almost always standing in water - good upgrade over the older red models! Great looking boat, hope you have loads of fun in it! 👍🏼

@@markweatherall7437 hi Mark, the main cons with a trailer are that you need a tow hitch fitted to your car and you need somewhere to store the trailer. Pro’s are that you can keep your boat and gear all ready to go and not have to construct your boat from scratch every time you want to go out on the water. While the idea of a boat you can roll up and put in the back of a car is a great concept, the reality of rolling up a wet, sandy boat and putting in the boot, along with the engine, fuel tank and all your gear is not fun all all. It’s heavy, smelly and time consuming. When we go to the sea, we’re there to have fun, not spend 45 mins at the beginning and end of the day assembling then disassembling a boat - it’s at least an hour and a half wasted. It gets annoying incredibly quickly. Personally, I wouldn’t even consider getting a boat without a trailer. Hope that helps.

the ultegra 14000 xtc ci4+ is a better reel c14+ rotor and body ! 5 bearings also. the xtb and xtd are heavier and less bearings

This reel is notch up the Ultegra Ci4+ 14000 in some ways. It weights just 530 gr. Retrieves 84 cm/crank. PE 1.5 is equal to a line of 0.20 mm diameter, Power Pro 15lb is 0.19mm for example. Drag is 20 Kg. Another important difference to the Ultegra is the bail, this one is all metal and more durable. It does not have Slow Oscillation 5 (40-50 wraps), just Slow Oscillation (20-30 wraps). Probably a nice option for surf fishing reel is notch up the Ultegra Ci4+ 14000. Last it is like $100 cheaper than the Ultegra Ci4+ 14000 shipped to the US (Jan-2022 prices).
