Check out some of Florida's recent videos... They're locking these people up inside of five minutes. "I need your license", "I'm traveling". "Step out, you're under arrest." I think the days of the Sovereigns trying to run the stop are coming to an end.

Yep. It looks better to juries in the civil suit to give them like 37 chances. But it also prevents other sovereigns from showing up if you control them quickly. Sometimes they’ll call their friends to come back them up.

Thanks! It felt really good right up until i thought it was lifting me off the ground, and i started to raise my feet. At that point i felt a very slight sink and then it settled into a positive climb. I could have messed up. Gotta hang longer next time.

Dude you frustrate me! 1) you missed an epic fly-in last weekend. 2) I guarantee now that you have a dozen flights in your logbook, with 5-6 minutes of discussion and one demonstration, I could have you landing on your feet 98.3% of the time. You should consider leaving the go pro on a tripod pointing at your LZ next flight. Be sure to land in front of the cam and post that! If you do, I'd be willing to bet $10 that you're a long ways from getting 100% brake deflection applied before touchdown, I'd bet $2 your feet are both touching down at the same time rather than an intentional one foot forward style. Nobody's brain can figure out which foot needs to move forward if they both touch at the same time. May I suggest that you also watch an hour or so of Ripman Ridin's take off and landing vids from the past few fly-in events. At least you learn a few things not to do.

I tried the gopro thing last time, and the battery died before I landed. I’ll definitely do that again with an external battery pack. I didn’t even know there WAS a fly in… I got banned from facebook so I miss a lot of news. And you’re right about my feet. they’re side by side.

@@rule1dontgosplat GoPro 360 on the field is a great way to review. Sucks about the battery life tho. Could you not overfly the gopro and turn it on via app, during the go around? May want to try practicing an approach that doesnt pace yourself above runway so much. You may find that habit biting you in the future.

@@shanesplanetshane3795I can plug it into an external battery. I’ve done time lapse videos of stars on my roof all night long… plugged into a 13Ah phone backup battery it lasts about 8 hours. I was wondering where to put it but i figured I can put it right up against the taxiway lights so no one will run over it.

@@rule1dontgosplat Yeah, you can use a pack. Youll have a TON of footage to comb thru, especially if you use a 360. I try to land on top of mine, since gopros are shit from any distance. Your airport seems pretty empty, I wouldnt think anyone would come steal it? The airport I frequent, has skydive students and asshole GA instructors. I often wonder if theyll steal my sock, just to be d*cks about it.

During the weekdays it’s busier but at dawn on the weekends I almost have the place to myself. If I put a 360 cam by the taxiway light I doubt anyone would even see it, much less steal it.

haha... Another successful landing. Early flaring is killing your speed and not giving you any flare authority when you need it. You aint that old, get some shoes. Those loafers ruin the view. Thanks for sharing, tis good to see you enjoying some cool eve air.

yeah i did hop a little but i was coming off the ground anyway and that fence was looking awful close. I hate taking off directly across the runway! But yeah next time i need to dangle a bit first. I have two insta360 cams and a gopro. the selfie stick gives great angles but the major issue is i gets in the way of the gopro still shots. every epic sunset pic has the damn stick in the way. i’m probably just going to take the insta360x4 on my helmet and the gopro on the swing arm from now on. they seemed to work the best.

Couple addendums: It was darker than the camera is showing. This is about 15-20 minutes after sunset and it’s really getting hard to see. Also I said the glider lines work on “extension cord logic”. If you’ve ever rolled up an extension cord, you know that no matter what you do, it’s coming out tangled next time. Same with the risers.

Yep. I really think the cage was mainly there for the larger spools of wire. The 100 foot spools wouldn’t fit through the holes and they were $65.

hey thanks for letting me know. i just listened and it was okay for me. I used a tascam digital recorder and it’s pretty good. What I did was put my voiceover on the left channel and the original audio on the right channel. If you open up your balance control on your phone or pc and slide all the way left, you should be able to hear the voiceover. Some people don’t care about talking and just want to hear the motor. In that case, slide it all the way right.

Yeah the paramotor group as a whole is really pretty accommodating. Facebook, however, as a company… they love to delete people or block them for thirty days for whatever. I called myself overweight once on facebook. They banned me for thirty days for bullying. I bullied myself… and got thirty days.

Censorship is real. You will no longer be allowed to have an opinion. I'm surprised I havent been cancelled yet. You're likely better off without it. My addiction to FB is one of my concerns. Eventually they'll 'ban' me, and that'll be that. Never had an instagram or twitter anyhow. KZbin censors as well, so just be ready. I haven’t even tried to add back a lot of friend on facebook. It’s mainly just groups I’m in. I mainly use instagram to try and draw people to youtube. So much of instagram is trash though. It’s barely worth it. But I had like 900 followers on there so it did piss me off. Never used twitter! It seems like it was all celebrities having middle school style put-down arguments.

I have the x3 and the x4. Honestly last trip the x3 did better on the selfie stick. I have a mount for the x4 on my swing arm but the vibration seemed bad this time. I’ll probably replace the gopro on my head with the x3, and put the x4 on the selfie stick. I find the still shots from the gopro are WAY superior.
