Is that a fixed gear?
@jeffhayes18555 ай бұрын
I see why you asked. It is not fixed gear. The backward pedaling doesn’t propel the bike. It is simply necessary to allow it to roll backwards. His nose “wheelie” and rocking back created the backward momentum.

I'm buying a Jitsie tire stand, a Jitsie bead breaker, and a tubless tire beader. Trying to set my garage up like a professional bike shop. Can you please tell me what you seal the rear tire with? It looked like black stuff he brushed on the rim?

Interesting tip about the front tire spinning. I always tap the front brake during wheelies for some reason too.
@Harpoika10 ай бұрын
It's seems to be very difficult not to put pressure on the front brake when wheelieing.

@fxdr13123 ай бұрын
Yes, they need to retool and get rid of the snail cam and go with a chain tensioner. It's the only reason I have not bought a Jitsie bike.

Whether Alfie becomes a world champion, or just Alfie Lampkin, as a father of three boys, in my opinion his entire family should be proud. Best of luck lad.

He definitely has a great teacher. The main thing is to have fun. I rode in the 70's and watched Bernie go from good to great. But he always had fun. I'm 65 now and it's time to get a trials bike. Some of the great times of my life were practicing and competing in trials events here in Southern California.
