I like to think Pale(Angela bad end) was suicidal and just wanted to go out feeling like she was swinging. Because I don't think Angela and Roland can handle Pale who is 13 years in the future and might pretty much a stronger version. She said she 'couldn't win because the other Angela wasn't alone' because she won't let herself win since that Angela was happy and the entire reason she went here was to die. I think the book is a lie. She didn't want Roland's book. She wanted to just see for herself Roland and herself. Its also how she goes out in the bad ending. By letting herself get killed by that one book hunter. If she was serious she would have brought the book hunters to back her up but it seems here she wanted this to be personal and actually beatable. All just a theo- I mean speculation.
