im all for all ff remakes as long as they come complete in 1 disc, ff7 is an exception, otherwise im gonna skip them.

8 kept me guessing to the end on who's squalls parents were. I liked finding out it was laguna and the battle against the sorcerous, if they remake 8 I only hope the get rid of the draw cast system

FF6 needs this more then 9. But 9 is my favorit so ofc i wont complain if it happens ^^

Like yourself, I also thought my reflexes weren't the same as when I was a kid, but I did some research and it appears the game has quite a bit of input lag, and that lag is increased even more because we use LCD screens nowadays, so that's why the minigame is much much harder now.

Only FF not on ps5. I have it on 360 and while the game looks good the quality still looks blurry in my tv. Its beautiful enough that it deserves it, even if the gameplay and map design is meh

i just don't get it why .. i grow up experiencing that FF8 so popular back then as far as i know, and why now it seems ff8 don't get the loved they deserved. it should be FF8 remake rather than 9.. not disrespect to 9, i love 9 too and also waiting if its 9 remake really comes.. for me 6,7,8,9 forever golden era. if not 8 at least 6..

It would be really cool if the gameplay graphics of ff9r looked like the original games CG graphics. I think one of squares weak points for the past decade or so has been art style. FF15 & 16s focus on realism just came off as kind of bland to me.

Whatever makes the HD-2D graphic style so appealing to others is lost on me. It's a fine style , but its frequent use is kind of souring me on it, and I'm even in the minority of folks who prefers the graphics of the mobile remakes over this.

With Square Enix at the helm, i can expect it to be a massive disappointment. SE can eff up a cup of coffee.

Doing final fantasy 9 will be a breath of fresh air finally.

They should use the secret of mana/tales of formula Imagine vivi and steiner combo attacks modernized

I hope this happens. I predicted a complete 1-3 hd2d all the way back when it was announced. They are hurting for money and that would sell way better than just 3 and justify a higher price. Hope whatever it is they drop arrives by the time I go to Japan this winter

I’ve planned a dubbed playthrough of III HD-2D for so long. My team will have their own personalities and interact with the game’s world too. I’ve did that for III on switch, but now I’ll be bringing them back using a re-worked, definitive script for here.

I hope that it does not come out next year. When do you guys think we will hear a release date?

I did the same with dq1 and 2 last year. I enjoyed my time with those games but it's lacking a lot. Was really impressed with ff pixel remake (still only half way through 4/6) Launching the starter trilogy with some QoL would be brilliant awesome

Let's just say I will always have low expectations so that, when they surprise us with a bombshell, I will be very hyped, and if they say no way, I won't be angry and complain. I am 51 and don't have the time or health to rage at a cloud for something I cannot control. ;)

I hope they do 2D HD remakes of DQ1, 2, and especially 4.

Something is telling me that its not just DQ3 and that it's possibly 1-3 instead. Like you said, it could explain why it took them so long. Yuji Hori did say ages ago that he'd like to make HD2D versions of the other ones. I'm so excited for this - especially the fact that it'll be on Steam.

That’s me officially a disaster. Theres only one thing I love more than Final Fantasy and that’s Dragon Quest. It’s been so long since I played 3, like you I am waiting for the HD2D to visit (again in my case). I think you will enjoy it a lot, it is one of the fan faves for sure. Also I would not be surprised if we did get all three. I believe there was a comment about it long ago when it was first unveiled.

I’m excited for it. Besides final fantasy dragon is my favorite RPG series and I hope they do 1-3. I’d kinda like to see them eventually do a dragon quest collection similar to how they did the megaman/X/zero/battle network collections

This might be an unpopular opinion but one Final Fantasy game i want to see be remade is FF2. So far its my least favourite FF game but i think it has the potential to be at least a very decent to good game if they made some changes to it and hopefully a remake will do just that if one ever gets made. Two other FF games i want to see remade is FF3 and FF5.

I also think Sakaguchi is coming back for 9 Remake, and maybe Uematsu in some capacity

Tetra master is total trash compared to triple triad. Triple triad is up there with Gwent when it comes to games within games.

Umaro has more use than that. He has like 3 relics that add different moves in battle. He's also great for the Magic Tower. Gau, Mog and Umaro are WAAAY better than Setzer.

I never played any of the old classic FF games, but I would totally play 9 if they remade it.

I have never liked this game, and probably is one of th FF games that dislike the most, but good for the fans of this game if it's true. Personally, I was hoping the rumor of the FFTactics remaster to be true instead.

with recent news about Square having trouble with money lately and them responding with " we have no big titles in the works that can dig us out" i fear that Kingdom hearts 4 is not gonna happen very soon. and for them to release this onto steam seemed more like a reaction to that more than a willing decision.

If the rumours do turn out to be true I hope Square Enix keep everything true to the original, just add voice acting and up the graphics etc. I hope they do a remake of VIII one day. As much as I love the re-release version of both games I’d love a remake of both with full voice acting, they don’t need to be on the scale of VII remake’s as I think people would complain if Square made IX an action RPG.
