Very excited for this dlc, my hope is that with the class 31 we can use it in livery designer and i hope you have used your clag effect you used on Blackpool branches class 47 and i wish you would bring out a British diesel pack with 4 new locos like class 56 58 57 69 feel like you would kill it with these locomotives but yeah loco packs and this route is definitely a cant wait for me

Would be nice to have 87s layer on to some routes for railtours. Definitely "wcml south" needs it as well as ecml and maybe even glossop and Cathcart just for the heck of it because why not. It would be fantastic

A busy 1980‘s mainline with electro and diesel traction already sounds amazing but if it‘s the same quality as the Blackpool Branches this is going to be the best route in the game

As a German who's never been there in real life I'm very intrigued to play this. I watched this route on youtube as a real-life cab-ride video a few years back and fell in love with this beautiful countyside. Maybe one day you can extend it all the way up to Glasgow 😊 And as much as I like the 80s setting as well maybe one day this route is playable in present time setting becoz I have the urge to ride those fancy/"sexy" class 397s 🤪 one day on TSW - imho the most beautifully designed High-Speed-Trains of the world Greetings from Germany

@@potatoman451 hmmm... it seems to me that Carlisle should be nearly about the same distance from Preston as it is from Glasgow. @ least as the crow flies if I take a glimpse on the map - but I might be mistaken here 🤷🏻❓

I can't wait to see more of this route. Looks top notch as always from what I have seen. I personally would have prefered to see a bit more, with a timelapse that either was a day time one or went from night to day or day to night, to see more of it. But I'm VERY excited for it's release 🙂

Very unlikely. Nice and niche but past experience has told us from a commercial POV it just won't stack up for us. Never say never but don't be holding your breath. Thanks

No, just no! DTG and Rivet do the boring one handle units, there’s plenty already out there. no shunting, no parcels, a fraction of the freight, no runs rounds, no thanks!

@gregg9184 Exactly. JT have done BPB very well and looks like it's gonna be the same or even better with preston-carlisle. BR 70s/80s seems to be a strong point for JT as they do it so well! Could never have enough of it

Competing with all the other studios creating modern UK content would put likely JT out of business. Their strategy of concentrating on niches is good. They know what they're doing. You don't.

Can you make a Merseyrail Wirral Line route (Chester/Ellesmere Port/New Brighton/West Kirby - Liverpool Central) with the class 507’s and 777’s as the main trains and the 508 as a dlc Maybe also a 507 and/or 508 farewell tour timetable too?

I said it during the live stream too, but guys you’ve set the quality bar expectational high with this route. Keep doing what you’re doing, and don’t change. I’m going to be keeping a look out for your future content. If it’s anything like the Preston to Blackpool quality, then it will always be a day one purchase from me. I can’t wait until Tuesday to finally play this route. I’m so tempted to pull a sickie that day too 😅

Looks fantastic, could you maybe look into the LODs of the vegetation as they seem to be shapeshifting as you drive across the route. I'm aware its an unreal engine limitation however maybe something could be done to make it less abrupt!

Thanks for all the comments so far, for those asking about the sounds, please find below our info on these: The 142 Pacer in Blackpool Branches has three sound sets to cover the life of the unit: 1. Leyland TL11 Diesel engine with the RRE5 gearbox (1985-1988). 2. Leyland T11 Diesel Engine with the Voith hydraulic T211r gearbox (1988-1991). 3. Cummins LTA10-R Diesel Engine with the Voith hydraulic T211r gearbox (1993-1996 - onwards). The Cummins sound set was supplied by Armstrong Powerhouse. At the time that our team were working on the sounds, the older two sound variants were not available to be recorded as no units with these engine and gearbox combinations were running and are still not as far as we know and so despite us asking and searching for some existing recordings none could be found therefore these two sound sets were carefully curated and sourced from the Dovetail Games Trains Sim World Leyland engined Class 101 and personal recordings. All the sound sets have been expertly applied to the Pacer by Ed Fisk.

Because of the similar engines the Pacers used to have during the 1980s/90s, they had a Leyland engine with a self changing gearbox.
