Nice test. Thank you. But don't forget. The Tianxun TX-850 is a clone of the Teknetics G2. That was a high performance detector 10-15 years ago. I have three displays and each one is different in performance. At the moment the TX is in Germany available for around 100 Euro. For beginners with a low income a nice cheap detector.

A comparison😅? You can buy about 20 of the TX-850s for the cost of a Manticore. It's like comparing a Honda Civic to a Corvette. It's not fair😂

In the winter you are testing a pin pointer? Only testing a saw was a four second wave of a coin you have in your hand. You can do better then that!

mine is 5 years old and picks up silver 10mm coin at 12inch in all metal mode

How to Ground Balance your detector: Ground balancing procedure with the “GG” touchpad. 1) Turn the detector on and set GAIN at the 12:00 position. 2) Click on the right knob to the ALL METAL Mode. 3) Rotate the THRESHOLD control knob to the point where you hear a slight background hum. 4) Sweep search coil across the ground to find a clear patch of ground with no metal present. 5) Press and hold the GG touch pad, and pump coil over the clean ground. See illustration. Pump coil from within 1” of ground to 6”-8” above ground. 6) When the GND PHASE settles down to only 1 or 2 numbers in variation, release the GND GRAB® button while still pumping the coil. Note that the audio response to the ground changed and “Evened Out” when you released the button. Also note that the GND BAL value changed. After balancing, you can hunt in ALL METAL…or return to DISC Mode. 23

My first 850 was just like yours, not very deep. My second one was 2 in deeper and in all metal was way deeper. Obviously with these units it's hit or miss, you either get a good one or a bad one. I found a lot of good stuff with my good one and for the price I can't complain.

I have this machine and it's worked well for me. I have several variations of it and I like using the Gold Finder 5" coil & the Gold Bug elliptical coils on them.

I bought a cheap detector on Black Friday after Thanksgiving. I was quickly hooked on my new hobby. I had it narrowed down to buy a Legend or Equinox 800. Several people suggested these two machines. After a LOT of research I bought the Triple Score. Great value for what you get.

Nice info on the Manticore! I current use the XTerra pro and Equinox 900 but would love to have one of these! A little suggestion is that you make the subscribe link on the bottom right of your video for the entire length of the video... This is a good call to action. Also remember that KZbin only uses the first 200 characters of your description to place your video. You should also add some channel Tags (keywords of 2 to 4 words long). Also, don't forget to ALWAYS add a comment and pin it so it stays at the top.... Good to ask for your views to subscribe and provide a link for them to click.... How can you do a ground balance on just a spot?.... Listen first to the ground, you could be doing a ground balance on a piece off iron and mess up the ground balance for the complete day...... It calls ground balance to perform these on the ground, not combined with anything., And yes high conductor will go deeper on clean ground because this program puts more power in the low frequencies. On difficult ground, it's a completely different story

Hello ivan. Thank you for another testing video! I am glad to have gone for the 900 instead of the manticore. I dont see much difference between this two machines. Making airtest with my 900, i relised that with single frequency (10, 15 or 20 khz) it hits way deeper than in multi. In multi my vanqish 540 had nearly the same depth. What do you think about that? If you still have the Vortex try this. Use custom program multi frequency, set iron boundary at 1, iron audio off, set high resolution iron discrimination to 15. Then go into the notch settings and set the top grayed out bar with th bottom one. I'm getting a little better performance this way. Try it and let me know what you think

I have been observing for the last few days that my machine is getting signals from 91 to 98 after looking at some places. When I dig a little, I see some wet soil along with some sticks in the mineral bar. My question is whether I should dig it completely or not.

Maybe a few updates and I'll take a more serious look at it. I just got the Triple Score.

I think they always leave room to improve it with updates. This will improve it and a range of coils would improve depth on this detector making it a great bit of kit

All of your videos are excellent, Ivan. If price were not a consideration would you purchase a Minelab Manticore or a Garrett Vortex VX9 Pro? Or would you choose a third unit?
