Very astute question. We must look at Creation as a very long process to understand. But, ~4.49-billion years of templates and modified tests finalized into punctuated versions of mankind. It was a very long process. The significance of this part of Creation had to do with early internal to external excretory systems that recycled nitrogenous bases. The coelom (stomach) in earlier clams were reversed for no other reason prior to advancing out of the ocean in subsequent Creation, as snails. My early research on this topic was called "The Road to the Malpighian Tubules," 2002) I may have got it right. :)

That Hermit Crab would lose his new Home.

MissSlickOne the hermit crab was probably attracted to the area by the smell, and was hoping for a new shell.

you left out the part of why the Crab was there. When the larger Conch lets go of the now empty Shell, the Crab will be moving into a new Home.

@@phyllisadellesherer531 , I watch their behavior. You can do this for free on YT and other platforms. The Crab is looking for more room and an upgrade, to his Shell. All Hermit Crabs do this, but they do not all do this in the same fashion. Some are quite peculiar and funny.
