i just tried this party too! super fun, punching everything until Chaos. but it got really hard at Chaos. probably spent as more time grinding and retryign the chaos fight, than the rest of the game.

was thinking of doing an all monk class or all red mage class on the pixel remaster too! Is there an item that warps you out of dungeon? or is it only exit and warp spells?

In addition to my earlier comment, there's another way to grind LMS, using the same sort of method as shown in this video. There's a specific mob of 2 purple robed wizards and 2 LMSs in Zomas Castle on the 1st floor. The wizards will revive the LMSs, and you get experience for each kill all the same. Target the LMSs with Martial Artists and Falcon Blades, and let the wizards revive them one at a time, taking care not to kill the wizards.

In the 12 mins you took to gain 17000 experience with the Muddy Hands method, I made 50000 in 4 mins with the metal babbles method. Granted, I have a sub optimal setup, 2 Falcon Blade using Thieves that were once Sages, who know Fuddle to use on the bears so they can kill them for you, Puff, and Hocus Pocus, when they work, one Martial Artist for the crit chance, but I'm going to run some more tests as I may well be lucky this time. I used to grind in the top floor of the Tower of Kol since it has the highest span rates of the metals, but I find it's more consistent to grind around Rimudar for the moment. The MH method may be better if you're lower leveled. In 3 sets of 4 mins, I've been able to get 20,000-30000 exp. I used Whistle to get into encounters, but you can use the Lyre or Ire as well if you don't have that spell. Any fight that doesn't have metals I run from to save time, though the bears drop seeds of agility. If there is one metal, I target it with physical attacks and hope it goes down in 1 turn. If a bear is on screen, I do the same but have the fastest Fuddle user target the bear so it hits the metal. If there's 3 or more metals, I have the hero and martial artist target the group as before, have the fastest caster use Puff, and have the last thief/sage use hocus pocus or attack with the falcon blade. The point is to take one down at least. You could double cast Hocus Pocus, and get the auto kill, time stop, of all crit boost effects for your party, but you run the risk of the other effects, like the battle ending happening too. If you get the all crit boost, attack everything like mad, if time stops, Puff will definitely win that battle or take out as many as you can with normal attacks before time resumes.

I still prefer the Liquid metal slimes ONLY do the stone guardian method if their brutal/critical hits won't kill you in 1 hit BUT you can KILL THEM in 1 hit.

OR if not using Thief/Mage use Bedragon to kill them on a 2nd TURN however your Mage/Sage must be around lv 34 to use it.

I absolutely LOVE the atmosphere of this stage. The genuine fear and concern in the owls, the music, and the absolute chaos. One of my most favorite levels in a videogame.

My favorite game since childhood!! Since FF8 but, I find that the Monk class & thier fist fighting kung fu skills are getting better than ever!! I have been waiting for this!! I bet one day, an 3d remake will be the best or average but for now, I'm watching the whole walkthrough!! Thanks!!
