WOW. The Wonderer. Around 55 years ago, that was my very first RC Airplane that taught me how to fly. Being self taught, the poor bird got the hell beat out of it. More patches than original covering. Nothing but great memories. Still flying to this day. Great video.

I learned to fly there many years ago with a wanderer, mostly fly at turtle rock now.

Do you use a high start or is it an electric winch? And if it is a high start, what are the specifics, length, type of elastic, etc.

I'm pretty sure it's a Bridi Tercel. The vertical stab is completely wrong for a Gentle Lady. Photos and plans can be found on the Outerzone web site.

When I was about 12, I made an origami hawk that was a glider. My friend and I watched it hover in circles in my yard with just the right wind for over 3mins going up and down before touchdown. It was like it had an engine.

Obviously that little glider could be trimmed for a better glide. She's falling out of the sky.

It doesn’t have to look pretty, you’ve gotta fly what you’ve got. My first RC aircraft was a two channel Impala and it had more dings, repairs, patches and glued field repairs you could read it like a flight log. I loved it and flew it most weekends as a teen. 😊❤
