Thanks for your comment ! I think these are not a beginner's model. I'm going to hesitate between HMS Surprise or La Gloire. The plans are beautiful and very detailed. There are many sketches. Some elements of the ship hull for the architecture are very ingenious compared to other brands. Unfortunately, you have to go back to Fittings & Accessories. I had to modify a lot of things typically guns. There are no sails.

I use amati wooden chopsticks. I do a first layer on the skeleton with a thickness of 2 -3mm then a second for finishing with a thickness of 1mm. I use a bending iron to bend the wood. It's hard wood.

Yes, tedious but really enjoyable. Sewing is very relaxing and the result is immediately nice. More realistic too. I like this step in the model. Thank you for your all comments !!

Yes, absolutely. I do it in 2 steps. It's a dye and then I sew with a red thread and a black thread around the edge.

Nice work on your model, I've watched every episode at least 3 or 4 times. I started this kit a few weeks ago, can you tell the color and brand of stain you used? I think it's the perfect color and really makes your model pop!

It's been really good to watch your build. I am at about the same stage with mine. I think it's a shame you've added so much weathering though.
