Cry Me a River! I recognise this song in Susan Boyle's cover. I think she sang it in a minor key, but this instrumental playing sounds like in a major key to me. Wait, I see the description tells it is in C-minor…… Hmm, my guess must be wrong - perplexing.
@markshepherdmusic5 ай бұрын
No need to be perplexed! Most songs use a mixture of minor and major chords, and there is a tendency to consider a song that uses a lot of minor chords as "being" in a minor key, even if it eventually resolves to a major (and would therefore officially be in a major key). C minor is the relative minor of Eb major, and a lot of this song revolves around the minor. It resolves into Eb major at the last moment of the first 8 bar section, the second and the last. Several songs do this. Blue Skies has a D minor 'feel' but finishes in F major, as does I Found A New Baby, Everybody Loves My Baby. I think of these songs as being in D minor (as I think many jazz musicians do) but offically they are in F because that's what they finish in!

@@markshepherdmusic Thank you very much for fine explanation! I re-listened to this piece, and I found your exclamation makes sense! I mean I certainly sensed some chords sounded happy and some did melancholic, while I couldn't tell which with many of them - that's all I can. But I learnt something, and I appreciate your help very much!
Nicely done! Because of the archetypal green screen for chroma keying, I first believed it was recorded separately and composited later by editing, before I read the description LoL. Good to see Mike in action, too.

looks great, but didnt see safe, your bike never fall off?
@markshepherdmusic Жыл бұрын
It started as a joke build, but turned out to be much better than I expected, so no - it/they didn't fall off. I think it was helped by the fact that it's a Land Rover which has a very sturdy spare-wheel mount on the equally sturdy rear door. Since all the weight of the bikes is on the spare wheel, that's the risky part. I know Freelanders haven't had a lot of great press over the years, but I've had an Italian motorcyclist bounce off the driver's side at 60km/h leaving a tiny laughter line on the door pillar without even breaking the paint, and a volvo estate roll into the passenger door which certainly dented it, but not to the extent where I felt the need to replace it. I'm still driving it around 9 years later and don't feel any urgent need to replace it, but I should say that I now have a towball-mounted rack with lights and a duplicate number plate, since the police in Poland started getting a bit snitty about these being obscured.

You sure know that the word shepherd means baca in polish. So Marku Baco, your lessons are the best wich I have heard up till now. Why? Because you explain all topics just as the English thinks when they talk to each other. You saved me a lot of time. Thanks a lot. Robert
@markshepherdmusic2 жыл бұрын
Dzięki, Panie Robercie! I'm pleased that you found the films useful. You of course are aware of the other Polish words that also mean shepherd - pasterz, pastuszak, owczarz, pastuch. My wife's surname is/was Pastuszak! :D
