Even 4 years ago, he uses deep pain music. Crutch is a special song. Heretic is great, some great poetic doubles. Hopefully you pick them up as it makes the song more meaningful. If is hard when it is not your first language.

Congratulationgs on your shout out from Cyber Skull Media. I'm convinced the only things that are stopping Ren from being a major world star are his health & inability to tour. Merry Christmas Bells. Yes it can be frustrating I've told people about Ren with mixed results.

Thank you for this. It‘s so lovely of the boys that they shared my things ❤ Ren is a star anyway but yes for sure his health keeps him a little back… would love for him if he would be able to do some live things/busking soon. He looks so happy during doing this 💚 Merry Christmas ✨ Oh and yes it is frustrating. Maybe much more because of the close feeling we have to Ren not only musicwise. But for him as a human ❤

Hi Bells, big Dirty Loops fan here! And whilst this tune here might come across as one of their ore superficial and poppy tunes (lord owns it probably took months, probably years to write and record) Dirty Loops are ANYTHING BUT superficial and poppy. This video was made after they’d recorded, so it’s not live. But still, 5hey are three longtime friends from Sweden, and one thing with their music, also live concerts: they like to have fun, whilst playing at a top level. Their mastery of all types of genres is legendary, coming partially from classical, but also having studied anything from rock to funk to jazz to music production. Other reactors and listeners needed time to get into their music and have often become total fans after a while. Every piece they write is different. I honestly think, to judge them properly one has to listen to more of their stuff. If you’re into vocals, “Next to You” might be a good next one, where Jonah layers all of the multiple vocal harmonies, including various choirs, -despite what it looks like on the video ;) “Breakdown” showcases his vocals in a different way. Do yourself a favour and listen to a few more of their songs. And it’s not just Jonah with his mad vocal skills and jazzy piano chops, but also Henrik, bass, being one of the best emerging bass players out there, as well as Aron on drums who co-writes a lot of their music, is a super musical and skilled drummer, -and also edits all of the videos. Enjoy the journey ☺️👍

It is beautiful! Stuck in my head the whole last days. And made something with my thoughts. I love this songs too and i´m so happy to go now finally to listen to them. It´s kind of funny that you mentioned this about the overdrive thing. It´s exactly like this for me. I like it because it´s a song for Ren and he expresses his feelings in a great way. But in general i don´t like this style of singing/screaming in music that much. Thanks for watching 💚

Bibi who was his girlfriend at the time and once he was finally diagnosed with Lyme she helped REN raise the money to come to the USA where he got his first stem cell transplant that was the first treatment that brought him back to the land of the living. He wanted her to come to the USA with him but she didn’t. While he was away for treatment their relationship began falling apart and eventually ended. This piece is very intimate and he lets us in on another terrible situation resulting from his health problems…his “Troubles” Bibi says “I can be your crutch until we both grow old and the curtain’s closing. He hates that his illness has so weakened his body and mind that she is in his crutch. He doesn’t want that for her or their relationship. The fact that she is obviously not there at the end of the song looks like she didn’t keep her promise, but in a way I think she did. At the beginning of the song he is literally down on the floor barely able to stand/walk. He is on the verge of what he believed was him losing his mind and possibly his life. However in the end, when she is gone he is standing on his own two feet and he no longer needs a crutch. The over arching theme is how illness, mental and or physical makes long term relationships so very difficult. Bravo REN for having the courage to use your pain to help others heal it is a beautiful thing. He is a such a light and force for good in this world and I feel blessed to be alive to witness the artistry and magic that is REN✌🏽

Thank you so much for your comment. I had much of them in my mind from the chapters of Ren but was not 100% sure, if Bibi was the girlfriend. He didn´t mention her name in the chapters. But it´s really interesting what you´ve written about the point that he stands on his own feet at the end and doesn´t need a crutch anylonger and she was it in this time when he needed it. I´m so greatful to live in the same time and were happy enough to get to know about Ren. He is so much more than a great artist! Thank you for watching 💚

A new artist for you to try.. I partially used some of his lyrics in my ramblings.. 😂 but try Asaf Avidian song called Reckoning Song (Live from Acropolis 2022) this live version is a little long.. but its because Asaf takes the time to tell the audience what inspired the song.. he tells the story just before the last verse and it really is amazing.. this artist is very unique.. I found him because I learned that Ren is a fan of his and recommended him to people on a live. He isn't well known in America.. but you may know of him .. not sure.. he is from Isreal but from what I understand he lives in France now. His lyrics are full of metaphors and poetic depth.. his thought provoking lyrics evoke powerful emotions. I think you will like him a lot.. he has a unique voice and his passionate performances make you truly FEEL HIS MUSIC! Hope you give that live version a watch. Asaf is amazing.

Hi again 😉 oh thank you so much. This sounds great and i definitely will give this version a try! Funny that today you are the second person who recommends Asaf Avidian. I love to get to know more about artists which i like or where i like the music and i also love live stuff. So it sounds like the right video for me.
@SamSnipsКүн бұрын
@BellsMagMusik I'm sure that you will also love his stuff from his In A Box series (II & III) Recently one of his biggest fans explained that all songs in that series are recorded live.. and that means.. no editing.. no re-recording, no auto tuning.. and all songs in that series are written, composed and produced by Asaf Avidian.. 900 days, Your Anchor, Her Lies and Labrynth song are among my favorites. I think after you watch Reckoning Song you will want to see more.. in the box series he will often use a looping machine and he literally becomes a one man band. I think you will love Asaf.

Ren-actions leading up to Ren-mas time.. 😂❤ this was a very young Ren.. this was a new one to me.. Interesting.. another song that proves you can't put Ren into just one or two Genres.. each performance seems to be in its own category.. or in some cases it's something that fits multiple Genres.. just a brilliant artist. Not really one of my favorite Ren songs.. but it is still good. I think the visuals on this one really kept my attention.. we know that his condition often leaves him weak.. watching as he struggles to even stand is rough.. I have to wonder if she is real or in his mind? I can relate to pushing someone away not because I didn't want to be with them.. but because I felt she deserved better.. my health and mindset were not good and in my mind I thought it would be better for her if she stoppcaring about me. I have had to wonder if it was the right decision for years... now perhaps there will be a reunion when we go to the other side someday.. some day baby we will be old and talk about all the stories that we could have told had we stayed together. Someday for me is now.. I am old.. it reminds me of Bob Dylans song Shooting star.. I saw a shooting star tonight and I thought of you.. you're trying to break into another world... a world I never knew... I always kinda wondered if you ever made it through? Seen a shooting star tonight and I thought of you.. people come in and out of our lives.. sometimes we need someone to lean on.. but there often also comes a time when we step away.. stop leaning on the crutch.. the question that can often never be answered is did I get better because I left the crutch behind and learned to stand my own.. or had she stayed would I have made the same progress and perhaps going through it together we may have gotten stronger together as well? Hmmm I will never know.. and now I'm old and from time to time.. think of all the stories that we could have experienced had things gone the other direction. Life.. what is it? Life is a challenge... meet it... Life is an adventure .. dare it.. Life is a gift... Accept it.. Life is sorrow.. overcome it.... Life is a duty.. perform it... Life is a mystery... unfold it... Life is a game... Play it... Life is a struggle... Fight it.. Life is a opportunity... seize it... Life is puzzle... solve it... Life is a song... SING IT!! Life is a test... Pass it.. ahh.. hell.. LIFE IS A LIFE.... LIVE IT!! Sorry... got on a tangent there.. nice reaction.. thank you for sharing this with us.. song hit me harder than I realized till I started writing this comment.. hopefully it made some kind of sense.. but probably just the ramblings of an old man.
@BellsMagMusikКүн бұрын
I absolutely love these Ren-actions. And this week is also a Ren-Week. But this one was such a tough one. Stuck in my head the hole day... the visuals show his vulnerability and weakness of his body and the words express the same of his mind during this time. It feels like this for me. And this is rough to watch and listen to. Thank you so much for sharing your own story. I love what you´ve written of the crutch and to what it could lead to stop leaning on it. And honestly your words about LIFE hit me deeply. They are strong! THANK YOU for your comment and for watching my reaction 💚
@SamSnipsКүн бұрын
@BellsMagMusik ahh.. you are too kind.. much was just the ramblings of an old man.. but parts use lines from the Asaf song I recommended.. and the life parts actually come from a poem my grandmother gave me as a child.. she had cut it out of a newspaper and framed it.. the poem was from an anonymous poet.. a few lines I hadn't included.. Life is a Jouney... Complete it... Life is a promise... fulfill it.. Life is beauty ... Praise it.. and Life is a Goal... Achieve it.. honestly, some words to live by.. My Grandma was a fiesty Italian lady who came to America as a child and was the only family member who spoke English, so he was running the household at 12.. she was the first female real estate agent in Utah.. she went into the guys office looking for work.. he explained she had no education.. no background in real estate.. and there was no way he could hire her.. she told him.. I am hard working.. I learn fast.. and I am not leaving this office without a job!! He was still resistant, so she finally said.. I will work here for a month.. all I ask is you give me a chance.. if I prove myself after that month you will hire me and pay me for that month and we will continue working together.. but if after a month you truly don't think I can do the job.. I will leave quietly.. thank you for the opportunity and you don't have to pay me for that month... WHEN SHE RETIRED SHE WAS THAT OFFICES ALL TIME BEST SALESMAN.. She's definitely one of my heroes!!

Ein kleiner Anspieltipp falls Du Lust hast: Asaf Avidian: In a Box ...., z.B.: "900 days", "your anchor", "her lies", und vieles andere.

Hi! Big smile here, when you said: "from the look of the leadsinger it's going to be rock". They actually ask people to sing "Fuck you" at concerts - I just went to their concert in Aarhus, Denmark a month ago. Henrik the bassist asked everyone to raise their hands in a fist, then put up their middle finger towards the band - "It shouldn't be to hard - just remember we're swedish"... 😂 They are really fun and no doubt they actually have fun making the videos (often in their credits are hilarious too). It's my favorite band since 2014 - they are all three of them world class musicians and arrangers. You are right though the video is not live - the video is edited by Aron the drummer by the way. Every Dirty Loops song is a new experience and surprise while at the same time leaving no doubt you're listening to Dirty Loops. First time I've seen your channel so don't know what you're into but they do mix all kinds of genres, so maybe you should give them another try? If you want an 80s rock tribute go for "Run away".

That´s funny 😅 Thank you for your comment. I will give them another try for sure. Maybe this was just not my song. But i totally forgot to mention that the bassist did a great job. Ok it was not live but from the comments i get, that they have to be good live too. And i also haven´t mentioned that they have a special constellation for me. Without a guitarist. Only Keyboard, Bass and Drums. Haven´t seen this before. Thanks for watching! 💚

It's good to explore new things - and sometimes you'll be surprised and find things you'd never think were something for you, but you actually like. I think it's great! Sometimes things grow on you so you might not like it much at the first listen but eventually it might become a favorite. Or when you listen five years later and have been exposed to other similar tracks you suddenly think it's awesome.

I have to agree with @Kotten84, it's not possible to love everything. Be truthful--that's what viewers are looking for, your reaction. I liked the "horns" in this, but it's not really enough to make me listen to it again. I'm not anti-pop, I grew up on The Monkees for heaven's sake. But that doesn't mean I like all pop. These days I listen to experimental, noise, and drone, so I'm not their intended audience.

Better be honest than faking it. It's your reaction after all. You can't love everything. I personally love Dirty Loops and I would say that I think they truly are happy playing music. You see it in other videos and even when they play live. As for not liking this song, it's perfectly fine. I would however still recommend you to give a few other songs a chance, because Dirty Loops have songs of different styles. Now I don't know exactly what you would prefer, but maybe there's a song for you as well. They've done a few cover songs that are great, including "Thriller", which they did together with a guitarist called Cory Wong and they even have a horn section. If you want something a bit slower you can try "Breakdown". Anyway, I hope you give Dirty Loops a second chance and that you find atleast one song you really like. If not, then maybe they aren't for you and you can move on to the next band. It's fine.
