You said that was a Premier pay you know you did not examine the equipment before you bought it. If you had gave it a good inspection, you wouldn’t be using the words that you were using that is choice words so you can’t borrow Premier premier did not put that piece on the tractor that’s broke, the person before you did that and it was Hughes and you should’ve checked it

John deere load control shaft seals. Another great idea from John deere. My dad carried about ten of them around at all times they went out so often. Put a steel shaft through the bottom of the transmission then bend that shaft to control draft and bingo there goes another 2 dollar seal. Brilliant.

My fuss with Vermeer is they don’t have enough grease fittings in critical areas. I usually add several to my Vermeer equipment. This should have had a grease fitting on it, We also use WD-40 or 10w-30 oil on these ball and sockets. It’s not a perfect world but We have been very pleased with Vermeer Equipment.

Thank you for posting about this issue. If I look at used Vermeer mowers I will remember to look that spot over.

You just don't see a lot of John Deere disc mowers out there... As far as a baler, I haven't see a green baler that I want....now if they quit making a Vermeer...maybe.

Vermeer is several years behind on everything they make. They invented the round baler and let JD pass them up in no time.

Nice fix! All dealers are rippers. Farmers know how to make do. We have to. To stay afloat. Say safe! Part prices are terrible.

The simple thing to do would have been to cut the end off that Vermeer cylinder and weld on a new I. Any welding shop probably could have done that for $100 or less

You're supposed to pay off that $20,000 machine Buy getting fixed and up and running not stopping for the day to make a video about it. Especially on an issue that was broken prior to you purchasing it that you missed when you walked around and bought it. profit isn't going to be given to you on a plate, and if you work , things are going to break. Fix it and move on. I have a TM 1400 that I have run over almost 10k acers in the last 5 years, on fields way rougher than your nice meadow. I put some parts in it here and there, nothing outrageous. Sometimes you have to make your own luck by getting out and walking around and catching problems before they are breakdowns.. our TM 1400 has been the best purchase we have made in a long long time in terms of what it cost us and what it can do. Oh wait my John Deere that never breaks down is broken down. It's life man fix it and move on

Hey I have a question for you about your mower. I had to work on an mc3700 mower. My friend was cutting wheat crab grass. The mower was building up a rock hard Adobe mix in 45 minutes and getting into the head of the pins that hold the blades on running the pins. Its severely hurting the operation with all the down time cleaning out between the shoes and blades and replacing pins. Does yours do this? Looking for advice?

Great idea congrats you might be able to buy a cylinder block to shorten ram if you wanted to give a little more room to switch sides 👍🏼

hate to see you having bad luck we ran vermeer products for years never any real trouble but if that had already been broke and welded not really vermeers fault just saying i would have told the dealier once he changed that out then we had a deal i really hope you the best i understand how upsetting it is.

Cut a field 2017 hit a hole in a customers field. Snapped the pitch control cylinder. Lots of money, and down time. I love the mower but very expensive when it goes down.

I have a mc1030. Be the last piece of Vermeer on my farm. Main frame has cracked twice. Center gearbox came loose and bent both drive shafts. Turtles and skid plates have worn out faster than the new holland and hesston mowers we had. Really wanted the tm1410 until my 2 frame issues. Vermeer just doesn’t build their stuff heavy enough. I’ll buy another agco product in a heartbeat

Have a tm 1400 going into it's 3rd year (which is similar to your tm 1200).... no driveline issues that you describe. Your angle on your 3 point was incorrect. I can tell by your safety chain that it's too long. That chain should be short enough that if you hit your 3 point lever by accident that your pto shaft shouldn't drop much below level. Highly unlikely it was your dealer/or machines fault. Sorry bud.

Dealer still came through with a new drive shaft. I was pissed because I used the machine for 15 minutes after paying 20 grand for it.

DieselFume1 ... I am not disagreeing with your setup but I don't believe it was driver in this error in this case. The rust in the break on the machine end of the shaft shows it has been cracked for sometime (due maybe to previous driver error as you discribed) and the yoke on the tractor end most likely broke due to the shaft continuing to spin and hitting the lift arm frame.

Reggy_ S I should do an update video on this machine. There has been an issue that I could show, and how I fixed it. In a couple weeks I have an area that I'll be mowing.

I had a Massey DM1362 3point mower I traded in on this thing. The Massey gearbox cracked where it connected to the bar. My local dealer gave me a new driveshaft off a new machine later this same day. I kinda like this yellow mower, I hope it lasts.

I'm running a TM1400. The Mickey Mouse welds holding the swivel gearbox on the header broke loose. The welds had not even penetrated the metal. I've used New Holland 1431's and 1441's for years. I'm thinking this yellow machine may not last long around here.
