*All practical tests of ground-based small wind turbines show the same thing: 1) They hardly produce any electricity. 2) They do not last long!* With solar panels, you can generate at least 10 times more green electricity with the same investment! Reliable and almost maintenance-free. Moreover, the wind close to ground is extremely gusty. 9 out of 10 small wind turbines therefore stop working after a short time!
@hunkenpunkenАй бұрын
Hi Bert WHAT low wattage external compressor will be good for the 50kw Bairan burner?
@michaelvanallen6400Ай бұрын
All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity! And only at very high costs! Because there is hardly any wind close to the ground. It is also extremely gusty, which usually shortens the service life extremely! Only if you need to be off grid in winter & live close to the sea, you should install the largest possible wind turbine on a high mast. With solar modules, on the other hand, reliably generate electricity for 25 to 30 years at approx. 2% to 5% of the cost of small wind turbines! With 8 - 10 bifacial modules, you can generate approx. 3-4 kWh per day even in winter.

Hello there. You burn the right fuel in this beautiful heater but the wrong size. These salamander type heaters burn only stove size coal or 30/50mm as you can find it here in Europe. Good Luck. George
@offthegridwithbert9247 ай бұрын
Hi, stove size or nut coal just isn’t available here in Australia, we have limited anthracite coal here, most of the available coal is bituminous or brown coal, i no longer have this heater in operation as the supplier of the bean coal went out of business during Covid lockdowns. If I could have gotten stove size coal absolutely I would have preferred it 👍

You can make a good oil burner in siphon mode for this nozzle, but for me it is better to work with oil pumped system. Then you dont need a oil tank at all. Instead of tank you can use somekind of 200w inline oil preheater with valve for oil and for air. Also pumped oil which you send to the nozzle is regulated from 0 to 1 bar. You can use originally pump in one line and two line system. All you need is remove one screw from inside of a pump. Pump will be run with a 12v motor from car window system and it can be regulated with a PWM regulator or you can use stepper motor in combination with arduino. Filtration of oil is easy with a 50 microns filter. Better controller is the same model of LOA24 but with a mechanical relay instead of a cheap chinese elements inside. With arduino you can control and adjust every parameter of the burner...at the end....nice video...best wishes...and I would like to see your very well converted diesel burner in operation...good luck....
@offthegridwithbert9249 ай бұрын
Only problem with pumped systems is nozzle erosion, you don’t get that with siphon nozzles
@IgI-Ze9 ай бұрын
@@offthegridwithbert924 Yes nozzle erosion is possible....but I was be able to burn over 10 tons of waste oil with one Delavan nozzle with any erosion or damage....but I dont like nozzle spraying at all. Now I use burner based on R.Babington patent and principle of atomization of non filtered oil with a clean burning and lowest air and energy consumption of all burner which you can find on market today...but it is a other and long story. Nice job. Best regards...

I have a working T216... no water pump... was used for generating power with an alternator... 3600 RPM out of the reduction gearbox. Biggest issue was finding the Turbine Mineral Oil to replace the 35+ year old in the gearbox. Found German manuals and translated them using web tools. Crank start. Electric start needs new toothed belt. Now to figure out what to do with it other than run it for fun and sound. Collaboration welcome.

Is it normal that the burner always goes off briefly and then comes back on, or can it be set so that it runs all the time up to the temperature set in the thermostat
@offthegridwithbert92411 ай бұрын
Should always be hooked up to some kind of temperature control, sometimes as the pump brings cold oil across into the pre heating tank it can cause the burner to stop then restart.
@miauzkater674511 ай бұрын

@@miauzkater6745 could be the oil tank thermostat is faulty, try insulating the oil pre heating tank in case it’s loosing temperature faster than it’s able to heat it.

An update, I have found that the latching relay in some of these controllers isn’t latching correctly and when the thermostat energizes the element it causes the controller to go back into preheating delay. I have let Bairan know and I am now importing a better controller I will do a video on them shortly so you can get one from AliExpress, hopefully Bairan bring the Danfoss controllers back soon.

The panning back and forth is telling you that the machine is too low to the ground and is sitting in turbulence. This robs the turbine of power because the wind is being diverted to several different directions instead of being cohesive.

In my case, the burner spits oil out at the front when it's connected to the boiler :😢
@offthegridwithbert924 Жыл бұрын
Needs to be tuned, your boiler flue will need a barometric damper in order to prevent large negative pressure in the boiler, this will cause combustion issues.

This indicates that your front-end wind turbines does not actually generate electricity, so it does not have the ability to charge the battery. Normally, for this controller, a 12 volt battery will only charge when the input voltage of the current fan reaches ten volts or more. Please do not mislead other users here. If you have this controller, the relevant after-sales service can contact the relevant sales team to help you solve it.

4 different wind turbines were tested, with the same result, a bench test using a motor driven test alternator resulted in high loading of the alternator and zero DC output from the controller indicating that the controller is permanently in brake mode, resistor was heating up, battery voltage was 10 volts. Obviously the programming or an internal component is the problem, if you represent one of the companies manufacturing these, I suggest you actually do some MORE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT to iron out the problems, or perhaps bench test each one before they are shipped to customers. This is a bad product in it's current form, note that this video is a few years old now.
