This is one of the best videos I have seen on the web or anywhere! I have watched it probably 30 times. In the winter when I get the fly fishing blues, I turn it on. It should be part of the fly fishing film festival and I can't believe those guys have not added to one of their shows as it is so great!

THANKS! Yeah, we submitted it to the IF4 and F3T the year we made it and they passed on showing it.

Great video, I recognize every place this guy was. East river, west river (Niagara) Strawberry is., Peace Bridge, Cattaraguas Creek, Lower Niagara, Sand Docks, Power Plant. All of it & I loved it all my life. we moved down south after (67) years there. Can’t take (7) months of winter any more. New waters to learn, new fish to catch. Catfish at the spillways, new streams & reservoirs. Love it all.

Thanks for watching, Tom. You got lost right - the Catt wasn’t featured here. 18mile (the Lake Erie version) and you missed Johnson Creek and East Coy

Used to launch my 14 ft. With an 18 Merc. At the foot of Ontario St. in Riverside, for years. Caught many many fishies and had a blast. This was before there were more cop’s then boaters on the water. We had a blast.

What are those flies they're throwing? Looks like a popper maybe with some kind of foam tail? Or are they just straight blue with matching maribou tails?

About to pull the trigger on the rowing kit and outriggers! Y'all make it look easy to stand and fish from a canoe running this set up. Are they a pretty stable platform to stand and cast from?

Nice! Yep - they are excellent for that purpose

FYI the state record was caught about 1/2 mile from where you were sitting on the lakefront... And right where I have caught 5-6 lbers. All the way to Du Sable.... But a river smallie is whole 'nother beast and you obviously know where to find them... Great video!

I'd like to see an episode featuring rivers and streams of Kentucky. I live near Frankfort and there are several great smallmouth streams within easy driving distance. Elkhorn Creek, Green River, Cumberland River and many other small streams. Many thanks for your great videos!

Sounds like a cool project. Do you know anyone who’d sponsor the production?
@jackiedaugherty19494 жыл бұрын
brookdog fishing company, Maybe, Buffalo Trace Distilleries in Frankfort, KY. There are several well know distilleries in this area and they all are sponsoring many different things to promote their business. I'll do some checking from my end. I'll also check with our city government. There are many fantastic eateries and venues that might be of interest as well.
