@@mynameisstepon7860 Yeah I don't use weapon buffs. Every weapon needs to have the same baseline, and some buffs, like Leo ring, don't work for every weapon. Besides, I'd rather have the Havel poise combo anyway

One handing it would mean less damage when it's damage is already not good for how slow it is, and it wouldn't solve any of the problems I had with it, like the lack of hyperarmor, the too heavy, the too slow, maybe I'd be able to swing it one entire more time but that doesn't matter. Using it with a shield might be fine if that's your thing but it ain't mine. Appreciate your comment but I do disagree with it with as far as the greatsword is concerned.

@@Animoia Not 100% sure. But I had a few pieces of fluted armor on and didn't notice any change in hyperarmor, and since the sword is so heavy it's hard to wear a bunch of good armor and not be fat rolling in the first place. Possible sure but more work than I'd be willing to put in lol

@Croatilillious looking it up, demons souls didn't have poise yet, but it did have hyper armor for certain weapons r2 attacks. Poise wasn't a thing until dark souls.

Hyper armor and poise being tied together only started with DS2, and came into being what you're thinking of with DS3 and the Ariandel patch.

Nah pvp performance could be relevant depending on what questlines you're tryna do. That black phantom that shows up at 4-1 if you get pure black tendancy? That mf is a pain in the ass. And something like the greatsword would be amazing for dealing with him. But I don't fuck with pvp in any of these games. And with how I play, I only have to fight an NPC like 3 times lol

If pvp was so important they'd focus more on making sure the servers had way less lag than they do. If pvp was so important they'd make sure the games were balanced. Like at all. But they're not. PvP is one of the worst things to happen to souls likes and I will die on this hill. If people didn't care so much about pvp then the gank squad in ds2 wouldn't exist. And they wouldn't have filled Elden Ring dlc with a dozen NPC bosses that all suck. PvP is laggy, time consuming, annoying, and disrupts the gameplay of people who want to actually play the game. There's a reason most of the games have an option to play offline, and why you won't get invaded in Elden Ring unless you're already in co-op. It's disruptive and janky. These games aren't built for it in any serious sense. I don't know anyone who likes fighting NPCs. I respect your opinion but I firmly disagree with it.

Why are some some of the first items you get in all the souls games multiplayer items? Characters and entire areas throughout the whole series have been dedicated solely to multiplayer covenants. Whether it was Alvina, Gwyndolin, or Solaire. It isn’t just PvP that’s integral to the Souls experience, it’s the entire multiplayer system as a whole. Hidetaka Miyazaki has had a clear vision for what multiplayer could look like and while it has flaws, the fact of the matter is that there is nothing else like it. Ur a small time guy on KZbin ranting. Ask ChasetheBro, Prod, LostmySanity, or Saint Riot and anyone who watches them and you’ll learn that you’re in the minority. If multiplayer wasn’t there, we would’ve never had the Let Me Solo her guy. I’ve made friends through invading. It’s fine if people say they don’t like it, but it’s false to say that it is tacked on or that it’s unnecessary. The fact is that the most of the games have always received patches to make adjustments to multiplayer. Elden Ring is constantly getting updates because FromSoftware knows how important and fundamental the multiplayer experience is to the game. To make things even more funny, DS3 and Elden Ring had entire systems created only for PVP through coliseums and Arenas. They put man hours and money to put PVP only modes into their games TWICE (to my knowledge).

I heard Miyazakis story that inspired the PvE elements of the souls games and it's pretty incredible. I'm saying that PvP was tacked on top of THAT. Not that the multiplayer system as a whole was tacked on top of the entire game. The intro cutscene to demons souls shows CO-OP summons. Not invaders. Because invasions and PvP was never the focus for the multiplayer system. In demons souls anyway, they spent a lot of time making a separate balancing system for pvp in Elden Ring. A separate balancing system tacked on to the normal balancing system because these games aren't balanced. I dislike PvP but the fact that so many people complain so heavily about it that it makes fromsoft nerf or buff weapons that effect people who don't play PVP at all, makes me upset. I know I'm in the majority when I say I barely ever invade or invite invaders to me. Most people who play these games just want to have a good time on their own or with a buddy and don't want to have to deal with sweaty tryhard invaders who'll interrupt their experience and waste their time. But some people like the surprising nature of being invaded and that's good too. I'm not trying to judge anyone for how they enjoy the game. I'm explaining why I personally don't like PvP, and think complaining about weapons being imbalanced and calling for nerfs or buffs based solely on weapons performance IN PvP is silly. Like c'mon dude the moonveil was a masterpiece crafted with glintstone by a sellian swordsmith and people complain that it's not balanced. These games were never meant to be balanced. Sorry I've rambled quite a bit lol. TL;DR I was complaining about PvP, I like PvE but just don't do it much, and I hate when people complain that these games aren't balanced for PvP because I believe they were never meant to be and PvP was just a cute lil thing they added on top of the game and not the focus of the game.

@@Croatilillious no messing, i dont even play the game, and from the looks of it, i wouldnt like this sword either, i just always say that size does matter when i see someone say it doesnt. I dont sayit to make people feel bad, i say it because its the truth, size matter, be it too big or too small. Im also hella tired and i feel like im high as fuck when tired.

Every weapon can do counter damage, but it only applies when the enemy is attacking. But some weapons do more counter damage than others. Like the dagger and the uchigatana. So if you hit them while they're trying to hit you it'll do more damage. And lots more damage with the uchi. That's how it is in dark souls 2 anyway. Not sure about the other ones.

Yea I did that for all my other ds1 vids. But 2 elevator rides, ignoring ghosts which can be uncooperative, and running all the way back up to firelink, or spending souls on bones which would be better used for levels. Is all annoying shit I don't like dealing with. The Darkroot Basin bonfire has one short lil elevator, and I don't have to deal with ghosts which is the main thing. They both work, my vids aren't guides so do whatever. But those ghosts are a pain in the ass so I avoid even having to run past em lol

If you shared my vids around that'd help. I only have a youtube account so its not like i can share my own shit around other platforms. Dont share my ds3 dagger vid tho that one was way toooo looonnggg. Learned a lesson on that one.

@@Croatilillious you got a bit unlucky too with the longer one, only do the longer than 20 minute videos (preferably make each one around 12 minutes) until you reach a stable view count per video and then explain at the end of one of your videos about how you want to try a longer video so your viewers know to check your channel for when you make it rather than it showing up on their home page because it might not cause youtube sucks balls

I want them to be entertaining but also give an ok idea of how whatever weapon I'm using operates.
