How did you attach it? Just hot glued in place?
@thearmoredcreator3 күн бұрын
No hot glue, they slide into my visor retention system that I designed and is available in all of my helmets. My helmets also include a visor template, which enables you to cut your visor material to fit perfectly without any guessing.

Great content. What speed settings do you use for your helmets? Also, are you using 3 to 4 walls? Really liked your processing PDF. Thanks
@thearmoredcreator4 ай бұрын
On the Neptune 4 Plus I use the default speed settings that came with the Orca profile, but I don't print at full speed. I print between 45-60% of full speed. I set that speed in the Klipper software. I use 4 walls with 20% infill. Thanks for the kind words on the PDF, I'm glad it was helpful for you! ~ HK7335

I sure do, and apologies for the late reply - I forget about comments on YT but promise I'll be better! Anyway, here's my Amazon shop and there are several visors in there including the mirrored one that I'm using now: www.amazon.com/shop/makerbak3d

5:30 you're talking about the filament settings, but i'm not seeing what you're describing, is there a window that wasn't visible?
@thearmoredcreator3 ай бұрын
Hi, @sygad1 thanks for your comment and apologies for the delayed response. Yes, you are correct, the filament settings window-which is accessible by clicking the "edit preset" icon to the right of the dropdown where filament type is selected, right under the word "filament". I was still learning OBS at the time that I made this, and had it set to do a window capture instead of a display capture. I might do an update in the near future if I have time. Thanks again for your question, and for bringing my attention to this! Cheers!

In terms of the coloured graphite rub have you tried adding a coloured powder like mica powder in the pigment/shade you’d want with the graphite powder? Might be worth consider?

I found out recently that tooth paste is probably not the best thing to use, it causes some acidic effect on the paint. but you might know the best brand to use for that purpose.
@thearmoredcreator10 ай бұрын
I haven't had any problems with that...I did consider it a possibility, however at this point I haven't had any trouble with the paints I've been using. That's not to say it couldn't react with other types of paints. As always, test the process on something that you don't mind messing up before you do it on your part.

Thanks for making this vid, bro! Much appreciated!! After swearing off CURA, I just used it myself tonight following your process. Flawless! The only change I made was that I set the wall thickness to 0.5 (it wouldn't let me set just one wall! Prusaslicer doesn't like that either. )

Is the gray primer the one you would recommend for a din djarin beskar look? Also a finer wet sand for more polish?
@thearmoredcreator11 ай бұрын
Im still experimenting with different primers for the primer based beskar look. Primer based is for when I want to put color over the top. Chrome paints have a nasty tendency to peel when you remove certain types of masking, like tape. If I was doing just a straight beskar paint job, like the Din Djarin helmet, I would still do highly polished flat black primer first, and then do Rustoleum silver chrome, followed by graphite, and then a final buff with a good quality paper towel. I do not use clearcoat, since it can ruin metallic effects if not done exactly right.
