This is not a soundgenerator or VST plug-in. VL-Wizard is an advanced editor that communicates with the VL70m via Midi SysEx messages and allows for creating / tweaking / store / load the sounds produced by the VL70m module. The sounds are produced by the VL70m and the VL-Editor must communicate to the VL70m via a good midi-usb interface.

yes, connecting the WX5 to the front of the VL70m and have a good USB midi interface to connect your computer to the DIN midi-in/out and setting the VL-Wizard midi in-out port to the USB midi interface...

@@mariomarcelo VL-Wizard is only an Editor and not a sound generator (synth) that can be used in a DAW of others... If you look for a sound generator that is purely designed for wind-controllers like WX5, AE-20 , EWi etc.. then you might consider Respiro - see this link www.imoxplus.com/site/

this free player does not offer a way to transpose - except via DAW automation. You can use your licensed (payed) version of Respiro (running on Windows or Mac) to tweak instruments (example: transpose, detuning, filters, etc..) and then export these to your iOS device (see page 14 - www.imoxplus.com/site/images/headers/Respiro_iOS_Manual.pdf)

All the Respiro KZbin videos assume that the player is familiar with MIDI instruments. I am looking for a video that shows Step By Step how to connect an MIDI instrument to Respiro and computer/iPad and have a SOUND come out.

​@@montiraruba2831 Respiro version 1.2.871 contains automatic detection of your EMEO. You should simply install it, launch it...connect your EMEO via USB, enter your EMEO serial and press the activate button. Then you should be able to play "out of the box". You might need to restart Respiro in case no sound, this to force the midi setup. I suggest you contact me or EMEO via the normal support [email protected] for connectivity and setup issues related to EMEO. [email protected] for Respiro specific issues...

Licensed users can update their Respiro to version 1.2.871. That version includes extra instruments starting with L09_

at this moment the Photon is on hold - the special microprocessor being used is not available anymore (global stock out). I would need to redesign the entire circuit board and this will be again a big hit on my budget and time. I still have the intention to get this product into the market when I have again a financial buffer. Right now I'm working on some other products for wind-controller players (under NDA).

While I'd use it with my EWI USB, I'm wondering if you'll also have a standalone version similar to the USB TEC or the old school Yamaha breath controllers? This could open it up to a larger market of (non-wind) synth users who are drive by curious about physically modeled wind / acoustic instruments. As in, plug in the Photon to your synth's MIDI DIN or USB, and start playing your keyboard naturally while adding a new level of expressive breath control beyond velocity/AT/polyAT. Anyway, I discovered this project by accident while trying to sign up for your VL70m editor.... the robot captcha doesn't work on those pages so I had to google to see if you're still active in this space. Is that editor still available for purchase or have you moved on to just Respiro and Photon? Thanks, and good luck!

​@@psionic111 Photon is still on hold...after Covid it became impossible to get hold of the special PSOC microprocessor from Cypress. As a result I need to redesign the entire PCB with another processor. In the meantime I received from many wind-players ideas and suggestions...so I hope to find funding and time in 2024 to wake-up the Photon project. for sure VL70m Editor is still available but I have to rework the entire website.. You could use a MIDI merger box feeding the PC MIDI OUT (PC USB MIDI interface) into the MIDI IN A * and the DM48 into MIDI IN B * and then connect the MIDI OUT * into the VL70M * = merger box

This is the FULL version of Respiro - if you are an EMEO user then you own the LITE version containing a small selection of instruments. Hope this clarifies.

if you click in the Respiro search field (black bar above the list of instruments) and type the name then you will find the instruments or variant. For Colour of Brass muted you need to set the macro 7 (Wah filter - muter)

Yes, I know uploading a library is a pain... I really need to find time to build a better solution for this... the challenge is the Apple iOS protection - I would need to go via iCloud to make it easier but many of my customers do not use iCloud/... conclusion= not easy to find a good solution that works for everybody...
