hi folks we have just had a wonderful holiday on the ship atham off the seas is a lovely ship we did a 2 week cruise and it's the 4th time of using royal unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food in the windjammer restaurant some items were cold and we spent most of the time eating kids food we then had a snack in jonney rocket's again dreadful food we then booked a meal in Jamie's restaurant then that made us both sick as for our cabin state room [6310] under neath was some sort of crew room and the noise was unacceptable crew on phone at silly times off the day deck washing with s power pipe and we got wet wilst sitting on the balcony

Hey everybody I'm on a cruise that just left out of Southampton. Please DO NOT try and walk from train to Ocean cruise berth 46! Waaaay too far! It's not like the Mayflower terminal which is far closer. Also be advised the car ride / taxi area was a mad house with only 2 ships leaving, Ours (Caribbean Princess) & a Royal Caribbean mega ship 😤. We left Waterloo on a 10:05 train...mistake! Train was packed & again taxi area nuts!

Be careful & check which terminal your ship leaves from. One is a 10 Minute walk, the Ocean terminal is a 30 min 1 mile walk!

As a diabetic who doesn’t drink soda or alcoholic beverages, these packages are highway robbery. I’ll stick with water & an occasional cup of tea.

Thats a long way round. I would have gone yo Whitechapel then down Victoria St then go past the Town Hall at Castle St then down Water St to the Pier Head.. Simples!!!

I booked one because I rent a mobility scooter. No questions were asked at all. I just selected the room i wanted and that was it. I dont think that there is a limit on who can get an accessable room., I will never book a regular one again!

One area that is worth heading to coming into port is the observation balcony at the front of the ship below the Bridge. The secret door is accessed from the front of the starboard (odd numbers) cabin corridor on Deck 10. Gives probably about 270 degree view to the front and sideways. There is no forward vision from Deck 14 - or any other decks.

@Cruising Tips Pete, you did not show any sauna rooms? Infra red rooms? Steam rooms? Hot tubs? So...basically they dont have this as part of a package deal other than the thermal chairs??? I was on the Oasis this year and the price is not good for the price you pay with no cold/hot tubs or such I would say...hmmm

The terminal looks very close, but I can't see any break in the fence to get over to it. Where do you go on foot? I have visions of walking all the way round the perimeter dragging my suitcase!

This was just the upper deck which also has a steam room, sauna and ice room. The next deck down has a bar, the infinity pool and cabana style lounges and outdoor seating for the Haven dining room.

Coming from Toronto one day early in Dec. I need clear guidance getting from Heathrow to the train to Southampton as I will be solo with a minor cognitive impairment and will be hanging from my chinstrap after 30 hours without sleep. I _could_ kip near Heathrow and then taxi back to catch a transfer, but I would rather sleep in Southampton near the pier.

If you're used to eating REAL authentic tacos the ones at Hola Tacos is not so good. I think the only one type of salsa there was good forgot the name of it. Thanks for your video though, and that hard shell one is ridiculous. Not even sure why they sell that, it's like Taco Bell :( lol

I found this place discusting and gave me the shits. And originally refused to cook veg food separately for a vegetarian haha😂

Cruised on MSC Splendida and on Divina (twice). Both are more beautiful than Magnifica. Swarovski Crystals in stairs are fantastic. Also atrium on Magnifica seems cramped, lacking wide open spaces when compared to those two ships I mentioned.

Wow, so dissapointing. No dry sauna...Just room to sit in and stare at a mosaic? Wonder why there's no view. NCL has a fabulous spa with dry sauna and luxurious pools.
