Personally, I prefer 5.11. I work in EMS and love the EMS Tac Lite pants. I had the first tactical kind and while they seem okay. Some of the pockets and seamless weren't sewn correctly and they had way less pockets than the 5.11 kind at the same price. If I wanted a cheap no frills pant I would buy Rothco's. Just my opinion tho.

Hinged cuffs give better control, but harder to apply to a combatant subject ..

Whoever put this video together does not understand ASP handcuffs. At the time the AI voice is explaining about ASP being light and made of Aluminium, the video is showing their Sentry line of cuffs which are all steel and heavy. Functionally there is basically no difference between regular S&W and Peerless. Peerless does have backloading whereas S&W does not. S&W has a fast double locking M&P model, Peerless does not. ASP have the most health and safety features. ASP are the easiest to pick and escape but all 3 brands' standard models can be picked and escaped. Peerless is probably the hardest of the 3 to pick due to the keyway orientation and tight keyway as well as people's tutorials for picking cuffs mainly focusing on S&W style keyways.

Would you recommend the ASP ultra plus line with the keyless double lock for patrol work / transports to court?
@techwgАй бұрын
@@Jawsbrah4 For general police work yes. I recently bought a pair you can find a recent video on youtube (pink identifier). I highly recommend them. ASP cuffs have nice health and safety / quality of life features. They could work on improving their anti-shim.... but pretty much most modern police handcuffs can be shimmed and can be picked and escaped from if someone has the tools and knowledge. So I would say all in all, ASP ultra plus are an amazing option. Or Sentry if you are on a budget. However for transports to court, I would recommend at minimum the ASP blue mechanism for higher security. However, all the security levels of ASP mechanisms can be escaped the same way by flicking off the double lock by using any old paperclip in the keyway and then using a shim. For added security during transport to/from prisons or court I would go with a Smith & Wesson M104 or for a possibly cheaper option Chicago X22. They need different keys.

@@techwgI love the features of ASP but that’s what turned me off about them is the shim resistance aspect I work for a small department in the USA as a prisoner transport/ lockup officer and I was just trying to look for the best of both worlds nobody uses high security models unless you work for the county jails or prisons so I was just looking for a good option that has the keyless double lock and a standard cuff key so that all of my fellow officers could open them if they had to hopefully with better shim resistance than the ASP as stated it is my job to search them before transports anyway.

@@Jawsbrah4 If you want shim protection and "SOME" pick protection try CTS-Thompson Tri-Max. I have those too. They are nice. But they use normal keys, so while convenient that any officer could open them, any criminal with a standard key could too.

And now we go beyond belts. Officers now have tactical molle vest.

I always went with hinged handcuffs… Much harder for the Purp to get out of
