I have a 1946 Lenton Sport. It is about the same bike as Tommy's second and main bike, Raleigh, which is the same weight at 14 kg, except it is not a custom-made RRA. Whenever I get on it, it feels different from any other bike I have or have had. Wow, this is good. I felt it in 1970 when I first got on it. It is the only bike I've had where I could imagine riding far because the most comfortable place is on the bike, not off of it after riding far.

Where can I buy the fender kit? Thanks
@vegasvampire666482 ай бұрын
I bought the OEM rear fender and rack + install kit (screws)from Trek for $175 w/tax and put it on myself. It was easy. The front fender & install kit are $100 ( I think) You can't put the OEM rear fender on without the rack. I didn't get the front fender because I might change my fork later.

wheels on the current fx3 (2023 disc) can be upgraded to be 38's max, which seems fine if you swap a gravel tire onto it.

Nice looking bike but poor quality control or poor transport.Rear wheel has major issues right out of the box. kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Rear axle is bent! Derailleur is misaligned.Since the rear wheel comes assembled I would have expected better.Assembly instructions poorly written, but that was not unexpected...just annoying.I just had the bike checked at a shop and was told that I should contact the seller about getting a whole rear wheel assembly with cartridge. (The bike shop could not do anything to help me).Not a good experience with this bike, so lesson learned.Added 3 stars for excellent customer serviceUpdate Sept 8 2020Just received a complete replacement wheel for free. Great service and an otherwise fine bike.

I live in area where bad asphalt is rampant and I also ride on gravel roads. I am thinking of buying a Trek FX3 2022, but due to my needs, change the stock 32mm tires to 42mm or wider if I can. is this possible to do? I am not going to use fenders with this bike. What is the widest tire I can use? Ideally, I wanted to use a 42mm at the back and 45mm in front. Thank you

Hello I want to ask you what bike would you pick....the trek x caliber 7 ( 650 euros ) or the specialized carve pro ( 800 euros )?
@FlamesAt1000ft2 жыл бұрын
Here to tell all that the TREK FX series ARE GREAT Bikes!! As stated here,..”Entry Level” always mentioned but the bikes are better than assumed! You try one out and you’ll see that they ARE more capable then suggested. I own the TREK FX 2 in QuickSliver color and it’s real nice and to some “stunning” as I’ve been told! The ride is real comfortable and cool ‘n fast!! (Due to the upgraded 2x Drivetrain!! ) Get your Seat settings and Handlebars just right to your liking and you’ll love gettin’ back on! 🌤🚴🏽♂️💨Also,..one might consider some “Horns” for those challenging climbs that turn up on your routes…and a Seat Cover for just a bit more comfort on longer rides! Anyway,..IMO,..you CAN’T go wrong with the TREK FX series because there’s one that works for you & your wallet! …The TREK FX!! ..is a GREAT VALUE bike‼️ b(‘_ <)

Wow! That's bright, you won't miss anyone riding that bike! I prefer the crystal white or Navy/Alpine blue fade colour way on the 9.7 model or the beautiful red on the 9.8 model better. I guess it's all personal preference 🙂. Great review on the Trek Procaliber.

The warranty on the frame is only for manufacturer’s defects. If you crash your bike and it breaks it will not be covered.
@redkitecycles68282 жыл бұрын
I don't think any manufacturers anywhere offer crash insurance!
@perfectzero842 жыл бұрын
@@redkitecycles6828 I’m sure you are correct, but saying life time warranty is very vague and people assume it’s covered. They do that fake piece of mind on purpose. At the end of the day who am I to tell them it was manufacturing defect vs a bad hit. They probably screw over thousands of people saying that it wasn’t a manufacturing defect.

Most manufacturers vary the spec from time to time depending on availability of parts. The XT brakes will be a bonus for the buyer.

@@nicholasvipond2205 this is exactly what happened with mine. I received this exact bike with XT brake levers and brake calipers, when I was suspecting the MT410 Deores. I already asked the Trek store to upgrade to a full XT brake set, but this way I only needed to pay extra for the discs. 😃👍
