Aboriginies were NOT PRESENT 65,000 Years ago. It is debatable that Australia had brief populations of HUMAN PERSONS but these were from neighbouring Asian countries (IF AT ALL). THERE IS NO EVIDENCE AND >> THERE HAS NEVER BEEN CREDIBLE REASONABLE EVIDENCE .. that these visitors were Australian Aboriginies. THE TRUE CORRECT PERIOD OF TIME is far more likely to be ONLY 4,000 Years. Yep. ONLY 4000 years. GET IT RIGHT!!

The "Penal Colony" portion of Australia's history has been VASTLY OVER-exaggerated. THE SWAN RIVER COLONY was settled from LONDON AS ... A FREE SETTLER COLONY with .. CONVICTS IMPORTED AFTER 30 YEARS or so SOLEY to overcome an ACCUTE LABOUR SHORTAGE. South Australia (APPARENTLY) never had convicts. OTHER COLONIES .. ALSO .. had huge populations of free-Settlers AND CONVICTS were released soon after arriving EFFECTIVELY.

New York was so named after James Stuart, Duke of York and Albany later to become King James VII & II. Before the English took it over the city was called New Amsterdam and the colony was New Netherland.

well, there are a few mistakes on video and one big problem... this was not made by a Portuguese but done by an "enemy" of the Portuguese Empire .....an Englishman or worst lol.....so sad but is what it is. In the end the Portuguese empire was to big, to far and to demanding for a small country, with a low population. Imagine if we had more people and bigger country, what would we do with this? Our greatest empire were the people from different countries, together with the same language and heart. The English, the French or other powers of Europe don't have this relation with there former colonies...like we do.

The Dutch West India Company was founded in 1621 mainly to carry on economic warfare against Spain and Portugal by striking at their colonies in the West Indies and South America and on the west coast of Africa. The Dutch intended to continue their monopoly on the sugar production business.While attaining its greatest success against the Portuguese in Brazil in the 1630s and ’40s. Even after the Dutch capitulated to the Portuguese in 1654, the Dutch kept slavery and trade control until the company was dissolved in 1794. The Dutch WIC was granted a monopoly of the trade with the Americas and Africa and the Atlantic regions. With military and financial support from the States General (the Dutch national assembly), the company acquired ports on the west African coast to supply slaves for sugar plantations in the West Indies and South America. In 1641 Holland invaded Angola, on August 25, when Admiral Cornelis Jol invades the territory supported by 18 ships, because the Dutch West India Company needed more slaves to take to the Northeast of Brazil, a region they had occupied since the beginning of the 17th century. Only when Brazil was Dutch and sugar plantation became an ultra lucrative business, thus needing a huge force of arms, did the slave trade become a multibillion business, which financed the banks, insurance and finance of Amsterdam and later expanding to London, France and US. The West Indian Company which overlooked its territories in the Americas and the VOC (EIC "East Indias Company") for Asia. The two companies came to be among the largest Atlantic slave traders between the 17th and the 19th centuries, shipping and trading more than two million Africans to Brazil and more to the rest of the Americas to work on plantations, including in the WIC territories of Surinam and the Antilles. Unknown to many, however, the Dutch were just as active in Asia. While slavery in Dutch colonies in America is a known historical fact, hardly anyone is aware that up to a million people were bought, sold and had to endure slavery in Holland's largest possession: Indonesia. In Suriname, even if slavery was officially abolished in 1863, it did not mean that the practice of coerced labour came to an end in Dutch Suriname. Between 1863 and 1873, the ‘formerly’ enslaved were not allowed to leave the plantation system, receiving only a small percentage of the wage rate for free labourers. It was for the notorious slave trade that the Dutch were best known in Asia. The indigenous peoples of the Dutch colonies were not spared. In Asia, enslaved people were sold and transported to areas governed by the United Dutch East India Company (VOC). For generations, people were born into slavery and forced to work on Dutch plantations their entire lives. Slavery enabled the Netherlands to become an economic world power. Praising the West and the East India Company for the economic success, when it was based on slavery, the exploitation of human beings, their imprisonment, torture and death, it is the greatest compliment to racism and inhumanity that anyone can give. The eternal shame of being rich!

What I'm saying clearly and straight forward is, you have been granted the hounor of being an international language and bringing music, inventions , Royal authority all sorts of fame and still on the level with America your armies and politicians act like London metro police 1000s of miles away. It's time your impact and americas influences stays within your countries territory. I was brought up minding my own business being told early about this mentality and not to dishonor my family and harras family members of another family, this has a very clear methaphore scaling up to how we act to other nations . And you can't disturb other people just because you want to make money for your business internationally .People make deals with you if they asked for a purchase and not because you want to plough the market free from other business competitions. Basically let other folk groups be until they asked for it

People buy land not kick others of land and still these mentalities of marching armies in to others etnic territory is applied its called taking side these days even though people don't have a clue who really triggered the aggression like for example Anglo tribal backstabbing
@Delogros
@Delogros Күн бұрын
@@MGEriks858 That would be because you've been brought up in a time of peace and prosperity which itself was brought about largely by the British empire which also ended slavery in most of the world as an added bonus, That's been the case for about 80 years for the other 7,000 or so years of activly recorded human civilization we built Empires and expanded our resources and territory of our tribes by fighting each other, that was the norm far far longer then whatever modern measuring stick you're using has been. Your Metaphor is seriously flawed when it comes to nations and history of all nations proves it's a nonsense. Actually you can, or for gold mines or for farming land or a thousand other reasons you absolutely could disturb and conquer other people because we as a species did it as the norm for many Millenia and the British Empire was remarkably benign as it was bult primarily out of a desire to trade, there where no ethnic or religious requirments which is fairly rare in Empire historically. So your basically using the system the British originally introduced (trade and deals) to counter the process britain had to go through for the world to arrive at the point of being smaller through technology and trade... That is a fairly silly point to be making, the free market and buisness competitions in terms of a world market is a British invention, it required the British Empire as one of it's foundation blocks to even come into existance in the first palce o na global scale. "Basically let other folk groups be until they asked for it" probably the most naive and historically illiterate thing I've ever read. Argentinian waters only extend 12 miles from their coast like everyone elses, Argentina has never in it's existance (except through an invasion) owned the Falkalnd Islands and the islands where uninhabited when they where colonized, geographical proximity is the weakest ttype of claim you can have and not for nothing is what starts the majority of historical wars that aren't to do with religion, Your asking Britain to abide by a treaty of the Catholic church dividing up the new world between Spai nand portugal when britain wasn't and isn't even Catholic. Yet you want to kick off the Falkland islanders more then half of whome where born on the isalnds and have it colonised by a people who have never owned them... Sounds fairly imperial to me just because the natives are small in number and the Argeninains are many doesn't give the Argentines the right to take there homes by force, or does that only count for people who aren't of British decent? What Anglo rtribal backstabbing? You need to be more specific, playing 2 tribes off against each other was common, not so sure on the "backstabbing" part

This not correct. Empires are built on resources, physical, human and natural. No empire was built on royalty alone. Ask Americans. Several minutes in and I’m still wondering how a tiny island with limited forestation could amass a navy worthy of fear. Answer that fundamental question. Nobody in Kansas cared who the queen was in the 1500’s

Not quite. Portugal arrived first in India, Asia, in 1598. There the Portuguese had many bases: Arabia, Oman, Iran, India, Indonesia, China, Japan... Spain arrived later in Asia, starting in 1520. There we have the Philippines , bases in China, Brunei, Taiwan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia... We Spaniards arrived first in Africa: Dyerba Base in Tunisia, 1380, Canary Islands 1404. The first Portuguese base in Africa is Ceuta 1415. Although Portugal leads the exploration of the African coasts. Spain arrived first in America: Christopher Columbus, 1492 (the Viking, Portuguese or Basque and French whaler hypotheses are hypotheses and do not change the world) Spain arrived first in Oceania, 1521. We discovered almost all the archipelagos of the deep Pacific Ocean, which is half of the earth: Carolinas, Marianas, Guam, Fiji, Hawaii (16th century Spanish map), New Zealand (16th century Spanish helmet ), Tahiti, Kiribati... Spain also arrived earlier in the Antarctic area, in 1603. We also have a power in Europe, that Portugal could never dream of, with great conquests. Sicily 1282, Athens 1311, Naples 1442, Netherlands and Franche-Comté 1516, Spanish emperor in Germany 1519, Conquest of Milan 1525 and capture of the French king, conquest of Rome and capture of the Pope of Rome 1527, Philip II of Spain becomes king of England and Ireland 1554, Reconquest of the Netherlands 1568, destruction of 200 ships of the Turkish fleet in 1571, with our Italian NATO of 457 years, invasion and annexation of Portugal 1580, destruction of 100 ships of the Dutch fleet in one single night in 1585, invasion of Germany in 1583-88, destruction of 80 ships of Drake's fleet in 1589, Spanish invasion of Paris in 1590, destruction of the Venetian fleet 1513, destruction of the Turkish fleet 1617, invasion of Germany 1618 , 62 ships from the English and Dutch fleet sunk in Cádiz 1625... military victories and conquests until 1807. First world currency between 1500-1800, mother of the 8 real or Spanish dollar. Participation in the Renaissance. Golden age of Spanish culture.

You get on saying like that would be interesting to know what tribe they belong to. Were they still vikings, or they no? Longer vikings and something else. Entirely, and who were they taking over when they went into Lithia? Poland Prussia, Austria were that still not Viking country land when did The Vikings end? Do you get what I'm trying to ask? I hope you do
