Great film, I'm glad it survived. And, I'd give the tall one a roll in the hay.

Stop colorizing great black and white footage. The colors look like shit and it's really disrespectful. AND it looks like shit. And it looks like shit.

It is too bad there was no sound back then....it would have been nice to hear Oliver's real southern drawl in the movies.
@Buggy-su4oy14 сағат бұрын
Oliver looks like a county boy in this which makes sense since he hailed from the south.

Oliver and Roscoe Arebuckle kinda looked alike back then...wonder if they ever got mistaken for each other.

It strange to see Ollie so young and without his trademark mustance.

That was good, I thought he was going to throw those two pies into the faces of those gaslighting sisters. Hardy looked like he was in his twenties.

Thanks for posting this rare gem. So many of Oliver's unique facial expressions and the graceful way he used his hands are already notable here. I know he made some early short films in Florida before coming to Hollywood, is this one of them?

Leo McCarey (listed here as ‘supervisor’) was Laurel and Hardy’s usual director. He once directed the Marx Brothers in Duck Soup. Groucho admired his talent.

Great film in great condition. Already shows Hardy's acting talent.

Really enjoying these solo shorts. Thanks very much. Ollie must have been a decent American football player. Strength, speed and flexibility.

Laurel & Hardy were the greatest closely followed by Abbot & Costello! I never get tired of them! Show your kids their movie shorts on KZbin, they will love them!

Abbott & Costello were awful. Couldn't come close to Laurel & Hardy.

Notice the credits read Hardy and Ruge as Plump and Runt? Even that far back they were trying to team up Hardy with a skinny comic.

Great silent film story with Hardy before Laurel came along. I love silent films. Some can be more entertaining than today's movies.

when i was a kid, my mom would go visit a her great aunt who lived in a house exactly like that. old weird furniture and these drapes hanging indoors everywhere. that you could pull back and forth. i wasn't allowed to go very far but i remember an old civil war calvary sword in a basket in the hallway where you put umbrellas.
